seems like everytime there's a cross dresser plot the authors choose to go the route of having some average guy who thinks he's found himself a cute girl then get tricked and assaulted over and over again. but it's all okay because he actually likes getting raped guys he's just internally homophobic and that's why he says no constantly.
a physical reaction does not equate to consent, which is obvious to anyone with even a quarter of a brain.
also, it really doesn't help the whole "trans women are predators" stigma. they obviously aren't trans women in this case, but the implication is there. a person who dresses as a woman, acts like a woman, calls themselves she, but is actually a predator who uses their appearance to fool vulnerable people and assault them. hmmm... where have i heard that description used before?
cross dressers are not trans women. but trans women share superficial similarities with cross dressers thus making these types of storylines all the more insidious. also, it's still gross to portray cross dressers as predators regardless.
fuck this shitty ass trope.
my personal theory is that mr woo has been replaced by a robot and now lacks the hardwire required to carry out communication. his ai programming just isn't good enough to hold conversations for any longer than a few sentences. his physical affection is all a distraction from his inhuman nature, a mirage if you will. he is just a machine playing the role of a man, and for who knows how long?
it may already be too late for soohan, i fear. for alas, he cannot discern the difference. how many of his fellow subordinates have already fallen? how many of his peers have already been replaced? im certain the robot army is growing right under the nose of our protagonist.
what will he do next? where will the author take this incredible plotline? hopefully we'll soon find out.
a lot of what minjae told taekin sounds like what heechan has experienced (minus the bullying). he was lonely during high school and forced himself to just endure it all. he lacked friends and never smiled. he kept all his pain to himself in order to not burden or rely on anyone else. he was suffering but no one really noticed or approached him. minjae didn't understand him then either. no one did.
i think a big part of heechan crying is not only because the words resonated with taekin, but because they resonated with him as well. it probably felt like his suffering was finally acknowledged, even if minjae only seemed to be speaking to taekin.
taekin and heechan share many similarities, but heechan seems to have become hardened by his experiences instead. he can't understand the ways in which he's like taekin because his reaction wasn't the same. i think he hates the parts of himself he sees in taekin, because in his mind, taekin is weak. and he cant stand to be weak. so he distances himself from taekin as much as possible in order to dismiss the fact they are so alike.
also, it's pretty clear heechan's heartbeating around minjae isn't just because of taekin. it's his own heart too. he probably won't figure that out any time soon though.
please god strike these men down
