Okay following the past two chapters I am convinced this story is called borderline because the lead character has borderline personality disorder and he needs serious help and not a romantic relationship with the man he’s stalking. You guys can’t possibly think it is normal to self harm and stalk someone’s job over a heartbreak, someone you weren’t dating or in an actual relationship with, someone you just had sex with a few times. Mok is 100% the kind of dude that would threaten to kill himself if you leave them or threaten to kill you if you leave. The author is literally showing us a character spiral out of control and self destruction and y’all are busy coddling him and making everyone else to be the villains all the while avoiding taking accountability for Mok’s actions that led him here. I still don’t feel bad for him, I do think he needs a therapist though

Has been my theory since day one!!
Mokyeon very likely has borderline personality disorder.
Back in days, psychologists used to believe bpd patients existed on the borderline, between neurosis (depression) and psychosis (disconnect from reality) So the title borderline or boundary of Delusion makes sm more sense

Since day one? What do you mean, since the recent events or did you get any hint from the early chapters/season 1?

Well, in season 1 Mokyeon had that depressing tone, unstable relationships, bottling up his emotions, self harm tendencies and not to forget that office scene with Nanjo. He had a violent side. But in season 2 it becomes more clear that he does infact have a lot of unresolved trauma and has most likely developed bpd.
The scene of him as a child eating cereal while imagining he's on a quiet beach and the same office scene with Nanjo from season 1, he kinda dissociates from reality when his emotions are high.

This chapter was so satisfying it literally made my day. Mokyeon has a very long way to go when it comes to character development, he needs a therapist and to get over his childhood trauma and limerence cuz I really don’t think it’s true love he feels for Nanjo and he also owes sunhwa and apology for being such a trash friend, throwing Sunhwa under the bus by exposing his schemes to Nanjo was so low and he did it to make himself look better in comparison, the funniest part is that he thought someone like Nanjo (man with lots of money) wouldn’t know he’s being used as a sugar daddy in a transactional relationship, what a selfish git. We really need more bl where shitty tops get actual consequences for their actions instead of them raping their way into the hearts of their love interest. Nanjo might actually like mokyeon or at least he likes sex with him but that doesn’t translate to love in the real world and this is a level of adult maturity most bl lacks and I’m here for it ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ

Tynuu July 9, 2026 4:59 pm

I have so much to say but I’ll start with Mokyeon 100% deserved that beating what he did was wrong and rapey af cuz Nanjo never consented to what happened and I think more ukes in bl should have that reaction towards rapey annoying tops; also regardless of how you feel about sunhwa for being a pretentious liar, Mokyoen was his friend and what he did is a massive betrayal of trust and I know lots of people don’t like to humanize Sunhwa because his in the way of your main ship but Mokyeon was a selfish and shitty friend and he didn’t deserve to have those two play in his face like that. What I don’t get is Mokyeon acting surprised that Nanjo was upset, like did he really think Nanjo is in love with him same Nanjo that only started Fucking with him because he was manipulated into thinking he was protecting his actual love interest??? I’m guessing when they named this bl the author was thinking about Mokyeon cuz how can someone be so delusional and now he’s acting like the victim and they want to show us his childhood trauma to justify why his a manipulative and selfish adult, I’m really enjoying how things are going in this bl cuz it really important to remind the readers despite it being a popular trope in Bl you cannot fuck your way into someone’s heart no matter how good your dihh/ass is and Mokyeon thinking he was helping Nanjo by exposing him as a cheater to someone he’s protective off is delusional and crossing all boundaries

Tynuu July 1, 2026 3:22 pm

So I lowkey am not interested in Mokyeon’s backstory, it is sad tho but I don’t see how it will be relevant to the story moving forward maybe it’s the author’s attempt at softening Mokyeon who was a manipulative little shit for the better part of season 1, make him easier to root for kinda reminds me of what they did with Joo Jaekyung in jinx. I can’t wait to see Nanjo tho

Thank you, I totally forgot how rapey he was in season one. Now we know his sad past so we must sympathize with him

its not to try and make sympathise with him but more of understand why he is acting this way AFTER the fact. He was once so loved at one point and it all broke apart in an instance. And now he is craving that affection from someone who is so unwilling to reciprocate that they have abandoned him hence why he is so impacted by it. If it wasnt for his back story people might say “he is overreacting.. acting this was after raping that person” which is not untrue but at the same time it opens up to the idea that he has had trauma from loving someone and this isnt an instance where “the person i love doesnt love me back ” but more of “Once again im being abandoned by the person i love”. Not so much on because his feelings arent reciprocated but more so on the fact that he is reopening old ‘abandonment’ scars.

Well I find it to be a very lazy justification and yes it is justification for his past actions. It doesn’t make sense to explain away horrible behaviors in your adult life with what happened when you were a kid, going to therapy would be the best solution not hurting the person you claim to love and expecting the audience to overlook it cuz your parents didn’t love you, he needs to grow up and authors need to stop using the trope it is tired and let the characters seat in the discomfort and accept that they’re terrible people that did terrible things instead of excusing it with a bad past, it didn’t work in jinx and it’s not working here either. I still think Mokyeon is not some hapless victim of circumstance but a selfish and bad person who blackmailed his love interest and hurt his friends

i dont think you are reading what i have written… Im saying his backstory is COMPLETELY UNRELATED to how he was in season 1 but more on WHY HE IS SO SAD in season 2. His backstory has no impact on his character in season 1 because being abandoned does not and never will justify rape. Never in my paragraph did i say “he was abandoned hence he acted like… in season 1” but i said “he was abandoned before hence why he is drowning himself in alchohol after being abandoned again”. It doesn't matter if he was a bad person, he opened up his old wounds that was pretty traumatic for a boy. And you talk about therapy. In what world would he have enough disposable income to get therapy. NO ONE said he was a victim. literally no one. no one is justifying his actions. never in my paragraph did i label him as a victim and never in my paragraph did i say its a justification. Actually i said “its NOT trying to make you sympathise with him”

i honestly dont expect that to happen anyways. Most people read yaoi just for the smut and shut their brain off when it comes to lore and then complain without understanding why the story is flowing this way and why the backstory is shown now instead of later on when they meet again and he apologises

I have been obsessed with this bl for years and it never gets old, I’m so glad we’re finally getting an au. For all those wondering if they should read it or not—please do it’s so worth the read but if you’re looking for those cliche bl tropes you see in most of your favs or the typical top and bottom kinda vibe you wouldn’t find that here sorry

Tynuu February 12, 2026 8:44 am

The artstyle is good and the bottom is not a broke incompetent that looks like a teenager but nothing is truly perfect as all that is wasted on this lame ass raising your husband trope and making the older one the bottom instead of the top doesn’t make it any less repugnant. I was really looking forward to reading something interesting ( ̄へ ̄)

Tynuu February 5, 2026 7:25 pm

I’m really enjoying this so far and I’m still a little miffed by the age gap but the artstyle is gorgeous and it looks like the plot would be good too but I don't like how quickly get got to the sex like they just reunited and the last time he saw him he was a kid and shortly after their first meeting they’re getting freaky, kinda made me uncomfortable

I swear manhwa authors got some sort of sex quota they have to meet cuz this def would've been more enjoyable if they held off on it a LITTLE longer! Like, I wanna see them interact!

Fr tho it’s like they need to start having sex asap or the story will fall apart and I personally find that to be lazy, I was really hoping they’ll build their chemistry as equal adults without sex taking up all the space especially with how the top was a munchkin the last time they saw eachother. It’s almost like sex needs to be an integral part of their plot and it’s honestly ruining stories and don’t get me wrong I don’t want it to be shonen ai and have zero sex scenes but they need to find a balance

Tynuu December 5, 2025 5:27 am

Y’all need to calm down and I’m sure them meeting when the top is a kid was simply to formally introduce themselves and I’m sure it will be brief, that’s how political arranged marriages work and I’m guessing all adult activities happen when they’re married 14 years later. It’s not always grooming

Tynuu October 29, 2025 5:49 pm

Emotion was the only one that felt like a proper psychological horror, the rest were most smut and pretty tame if you ask me. Going by the comments most of y'all wouldn't survive the dead dove tag on ao3
