guys, idk about the myth but is this kind of accurate if compared with the myth?
Yes. The most famous ones even like Zeus, Posseidon, Hermes and many more.
It because they're usually portrayed as narcissistic, so what they want-- they take, since it's natural that they're entitled to it in their egotistical heads. Just as how Eros naturally thinks Psyche will be his and will UNDOUBTEDLY fall in love with him. In essence, the concept of consent isn't something they understand or care about.
at risk of remembering wrong, despite the obvious (such as psyche being a boy), the og myth i know goes kinda like this:
psyche is a demi goddess or princess that is being regarded as the prettiest woman in all realms. aphrodite didnt like it, so she sent her son Eros to deal with her, but ends up falling in love with her instead.
of course, there are many versions of it, and in missing tons of details, but the og story does not have psyche wanting to kill a king.at the least. so so far this is just freestyling with the characters
Yep! The OG didn't hav noncon afaik, it's just Eros using godlypowers tm to hide his identity and face bcs he wanted her to genuinely fall for her (i wonder if this has something to do with Ros). The condition is that they can only meet during the night (I think this is where author got the concept of BL Eros molestic Psyche during the night
honestly the manhwa isn't that close to the myth. the author is kind of using the characters for an original storyline, i would recc reading the original myth its actually super cute and one of my favs. but touching on Takucchi's point eros x psyche is pretty rare in that every other greek myth involves one of the gods doing wtv they want to whoever they want (cue Zues turning into multiple animals to assault multiple women)

that's the perfect proposal ever
