At this point, I think Garam is basically a professional tamer. He tamed Youngjo, softened up the wild Heejae, calmed Walter's chaos... and now it's Compton's turn.

LMAOOO, now you've got me even more excited. I can't wait to see what kind of chaos Compton brings.

Jaehyuk didn't die right? He went to jail?

dawnmist July 25, 2026 9:21 pm

Guilt and regret don't let go of you that easily. I feel like the manager's silhouette is a visual representation of Heejae's guilt and fear of loss. The manager was someone who genuinely cared about Heejae, yet they ended up parting on bad terms, and he died before they could ever reconcile. Ever since then, Heejae seems to see the manager's silhouette whenever he's sharing his happiest and most intimate moments with Garam. To me, it's his guilt reminding him that he is a knife, someone who inevitably hurts the people who get close to him. It's as if he's terrified that history will repeat itself, that Garam will leave him too, and there won't be another chance to make things right.

    omg yes!!

    gros batard July 25, 2026 9:53 pm

omg I fully agree and that makes it hurt so much more. I wonder if he’ll be able to open up to garam and they can work through it together since no one else truly knew the relationship him and his manager had in and out GRAAAAH especially with garam starting to see that expression more and more

    dawnmist July 26, 2026 3:20 am

I agree. I really wish he'd talk about it. I can understand why he wouldn't want to open up to Garam, though. It's never easy to show your deepest fears and vulnerabilities to the person you love. But I do wish he'd at least talk to a therapist or a counsellor instead of carrying all that guilt by himself.

dawnmist July 25, 2026 8:33 am

Fuck... Every time that ghost shows up, I get anxious. It always feels like something terrible is about to happen.

dawnmist July 24, 2026 6:44 am

The author does such an amazing job of portraying Heejae's loneliness and his fear of being abandoned that you can genuinely feel it through the art alone. Whenever He's scared, he lashes out like a frightened cat, and Garam has gradually learned how to deal with that side of him. Garam is genuinely kind... and now here comes the dragon—Compton. I have a feeling he's going to be a pretty good manipulator, though that's just my impression so far. Could someone spoil me a little? What's Compton actually like?

Actually, I only saw his name and picture in chapter 2 with Heejae's other students. I've just heard people talking about him in the comments, and based on his appearance I got the feeling that he might be a manipulative type of character. I don't know if that's true though, so I'm curious to see what kind of person Compton really is.

For once, I wanted to see an omega beat the hell out of a toxic alpha, but nope, the alpha never gets what he deserves

dawnmist July 23, 2026 6:46 am

I don't think either of them is acting out of bad intentions. Heejae genuinely believes he's helping Garam get more recognition and grow as a musician. On the other hand, Garam starts feeling like he's not good enough—that he's not as talented as Heejae's other students and only got to perform because of Heejae's help. If they had just talked honestly about it, they could've worked things out. But Heejae expects Garam to simply trust and follow his lead, while Garam keeps bottling up his feelings of inadequacy until they come out as anger. Proper communication is really the key here, and sadly, that's exactly what they're missing.

Aww, thank you! That's what makes their relationship so compelling to me. If they had just been honest with each other, half of their problems would've never happened.

    I agree !!

I agree that Heejae has good intentions, but not the rest of your comment. I think Garam has been pretty upfront with his feelings with Heejae, but Heejae dismisses them with words to the effect of "You said you would be happy even if I was your only listener", or "If you have the time to worry, you should focus on improving your sound", both of which do nothing to assuage Garam's fears. Heejae is just too emotionally stunted to understand how to effectively comfort Garam. He tries to, through initiating sex or using indirect gestures, but that's not the same as direct communication. What's more, Heejae's attitude is rubbing off Garam, particularly because he doesn't have any social connections outside Heejae, the staff, and Walter.

That's a fair point, but I still think the root of the problem is their communication. I actually agree with you that there's almost no proper, direct conversation between them. Garam keeps saying, stop making decisions for me, but he never clearly explains what he wants to do instead. Meanwhile, Heejae constantly brushes aside Garam's feelings and basically keeps saying, trust me, I'm paving the way for you. You just don't see it yet, be grateful. They're both making assumptions instead of really listening to each other, and that's what keeps pushing them further apart, in my opinion.

Can someone spoil me, please? Does Jeffrey Compton become the professor's love rival? or is there anyone else who ends up falling for Garam?

let‘s just say Garam is quite popular amongst the former male students of the prof but Garam only has eyes for the prof

I've been on this site for years, but no manga or manhwa has ever made me leave this many comments. The story and the artwork are incredibly immersive. It honestly feels like watching a high-quality K-drama, you get completely drawn into the story, and it's so easy to empathize with every character and everything they're feeling.
