dad wakes up is mad at qiyu
liqing is released (is blind), qiyu tries to make up
liqing divorces qiyu and runs away to song mansion
pei visits, liqing sees him off to leave, faints when coming back

Theres a womans dead body, the coldness of it saved him cuz he was having a fever

qiyu is informed that only one plant is the cure for it that had gone extinct
qiyu steals liqing and they ride away to search for the plant, liqing never consented to coming with him
They get attacked by a group, dont remember what exactly happened but his ilness became worse, one member was hu nuers relative and liqing told him that hu nuer died a free person (cuz when he was imprisoned after liqing was released liqing visited him and rewoked his slave status i think)
Liqing is on the brink of death, the relative gives him poison that will keep him alive for 3 days (cuz the poison kills everyone in 3 days, so someone who is already almost dead, their life is technically prolonged) and he says to put him in the jade chamber that was hidden in the mountains somewhere (cuz jade chamber sorta stops time i guess so they can have time to find cure for him)
He gives horse to relative and then puts liqing on his back and starts climbing the mountain
puts him in chamber and tells pei everything so they both search for the cure
after a long time (dont remember if it was 6 months or a year) qiyu visits pei cuz he sent him marriage invitation
Turns out pei had found the plant in half the time and cured liqing (only liqing not himself, so hes still sick)
only thing liqing doesnt remember anything (hes like 8 in his mind i think was said)
and pei is marrying him lol
qiyu is really mad but his loud behavior keeps scaring liqing so he has to endure
liqing is still blind so qiyu decides to cure his eyes (around this point)
first he offers slaves eyes, liqing declines, qiyu offers his own (later getting eyes back by taking slaves eyes so literally no point in that lol)
liqing goes along with marriage (cuz pei is dying) even tho he doesnt seem entusiastic
pei wants him to love him so when some dude offers hypnotising him he accepts
qiyu gets mad at that, steals liqing again cuz some war broke out i think
liqing keeps asking to go back to help pei
they go back, pei and qiyu fight
liqing gets hypnotised to stab qiyu, qiyu is fine, qiyu kills pei
they go back to qiyus place and i think that was it more or less

Literally. Idk how the author thought that they were redeeming him lol. He literally didnt show any change. Like did they really think him giving liqing his eyes or searching for the cure and doing so much for liqing was out of the kindness of his heart?? They certainly didnt make it look like that since he was still expecting liqing to come back to him... He hardly had the time to change at all.... The author would immediately reward him if he isnt hurting liqing for one second...

I respect your patience in reading the entire book and write the spoiler. It's like a whole new torture.

Indeed. Tho at the time when i read it it was out of pure frustration with the plot and with the hope that something different will happen, and then i continued out of my inability to drop things :(.

The inability to drop things wouldnt be as torturous if it wasnt for authors like this lol
