No silly misunderstandings and filler before they fall in love.
Adel is a real yearner. I looove that for them both. When she got hurt he didnt even use a chair, my man was on the floor draped over the side of the bed to be closer to her.
Is it a perfect story? No.
Is it good for what it is? Yes!
The author's favorite trope is to have Lily run off somewhere without permission repeatedly. What perplexes me is outside of that reoccurring choice...this series is very good. I've been over here bawling over various plot points.
There are some issues for me tho:
The characters feel believable and do learn...but still feel static though.
Also free my boy Edgar. All anyone cares about is Lily and talks about how charming she is. Lily has grown on me but nah, it's team Edgar for me. He is starting to get some love but it pales in the love and attention Lily is inundated with....it's honestly annoying. It's not as bad as some series but still tiring.
She goes back and forth between dumb and a glimmer of hope so quick that I can't take anymore.
If you think about anything in this story your head will hurt.

How did they write this story so well but so poorly?
They took a cliche plot and made it enjoyable which takes skill.
But then injected it with the cringiest nails on a chalkboard dialogue and plot points.
Its also very rushed but that rarely bothers me because sometimes you dont have time for a full meal, you just need a hot pocket.
I also am not a fan of this art style but it does it job.

Feeling mean today so here's some thoughts.
She seems to be chomping at the bit to forgive most, not all, eveyone in this godforsaken story.
We've got so many tropes and arcs that this really feels like one piece for girls.
The moral of this story is really don't be born from the wrong mom.
I hate it, but I'm gonna read it all though because its also kinda somewhat good. This upsets me.
I'm glad so many of yall are enjoying this but I find it mad cringey and a weak fl is annoying. I made it to chapter 6 where her maid sacrifices herself AGAIN and fl is like oh well my life sucks.
This story is good but sometimes it goes over the line into the bucket of stories where the fl has to be weak and strong at the same time so the author has to jump thru hoops. But So far I felt that this story is good and feel it found good ways to do that.
But with her being pregnant, everytime I turn around she's like baby help me and I'm like damn....Like wdym help you? Baby isnt even two months and she was in her dangerous period using up its power? I know the circumstances played a role but dang.
It's not that serious, just after reading so many stories about mom characters having kids they have NO business having and being cool with the kid becoming their protectors I'm jaded.
Also, again, I think I reeeeeaaallly like a lot of plot choices the author made in this series that this one stood out like a sore thumb to me
But it happened like 5 times, and I was like ok, this is plot armor now.
I want to say one last time, I still really like this story, its good, and even though I wrote out this post, it's such a minor nitpick. It's just one of MY special pet peeves.
Let me start by saying that everything Im sharing comes from spending many years on this site, observing patterns across multiple accounts, and reading user reports. Im not the dev, mod, or admin but Ive had experience with systems which is why I can answer your “whys” and “what ifs”
THIS IS THE SITUATION
Jan19 - Bto closes

⠀⠀⠀*some features have slowed down a bit
Jan24 - Mgo goes down
⠀⠀⠀*caused by backend updates or overloaded servers
Jan26 - Mgo comes back up
⠀⠀⠀*site is online again but very buggy: missing lists, random logouts, slow pages, no notifications, etc
⠀⠀⠀*this is when the system started gradually restoring lists
WHY IS THE SITE SO BUGGY
- Mgo uses separate parts for different things. One to SAVE your manga data (aka database/the memory), another one to DISPLAY your saved Manga data (aka UI/what you see), and another one for your browser/session data (aka cookies, login state, etc/this also connects the database and ui). When everything is working properly, these three systems stay in sync (eg. when you save a manga, it will show up in your list right away)
The system will communicate with Database, like hey this is the user that logged in go tell UI the things they should display. So Database will tell UI, like hey based on what's given to me, these are the saved data that belongs to this user, these are what you should display. HOWEVER, because of the gradual restoring of lists (which puts a heavy load on the site), the System, UI, and Database are not able to communicate properly, so theyre not in sync. This is why we’re encountering the issues
I DON'T GET NOTIFICATIONS
- since the System, UI, and Database are not in sync, Mgo cant correctly link your acc to your saved mangas so notifs dont show up/update properly. This is temporary and should be fixed when the system is in sync again
WHY DO I KEEP GETTING LOGGED OUT
- Mgo keeps track of your login/session info. But if this isnt tracked properly, Mgo may log you out randomly/repeatedly
WHERE DID MY LIST GO
- Your mangas are not deleted. Theyre still saved in the database. Mgo is gradually restoring everyone’s list from the oldest to most recent marked mangas. Follow this post to get notified about updates: https://www.mangago.me/home/mangatopic/21092806/
WILL I GET MY LIST BACK
- YES. Do note that while your list is coming back, you might notice some things are off:

⠀⠀⠀*missing notes/summaries
⠀⠀⠀*only rated mangas showing for some users
(I can explain why but it will be too long for this FAQ. idk how to explain without sounding too technical so i might also have to explain the basic terms. You can ask in the comments if youre curious)
I ADDED NEW MANGAS TO MY EMPTY LIST, WILL IT OVERWRITE THE OLD ONE
- if you ADD NEW mangas while the site is restoring, your new list will stay. And your original list will be added back on top of it once its fully restored. But if you RE-ADD EXISTING mangas, it will update the original date of when the manga was added, tags, and summaries/little notes you originally had for it. its usually best to wait and let the restoration finish before making lots of changes
WHY DO OTHERS HAVE THEIR MANGAS BACK ALREADY, WHILE MINE IS STILL MISSING
- think of this like we're reading through a giant BOOK of everyone’s manga list, arranged by the exact time each manga was added (aka timestamps). Each timestamp is like a page in the book, and we read them from the oldest timestamps to the newest. Right now, we are reading timestamps from Feb 2022 (as of writing this post), so any timestamp dated later than Feb 2022 wont appear YET
If your lists are still completely EMPTY, there are 2 possible reasons:
One is that its about “activity”, not account age. So even if you joined in 2016, but you didnt add any manga until 2023, your list wont appear until the system reaches the timestamps for 2023. The second reason is, since the system is very busy right now, it sometimes hits a blurry page and has to skip to keep moving. This doesnt mean your data is gone. It just means the system needs to go back for a second run once the "main reading" is done
HOW SOON WILL THEY COMEBACK / WHEN IS THE RESTORATION EXPECTED TO FINISH
- how soon your lists fully comes back depends on how far along we are in the “book” and how many timestamps we still need to read. If yours already started to appear again then thats a good sign. it means your account is already in the queue and the rest should continue to come back (gradually, not all at once)
If theres another run, expect anywhere from a few extra hours to about one extra day. A full second pass could push it to Feb 4–5, but a partial cleanup run would likely finish around Feb 2–3.

IMPORTANT: WHEN TO CONTACT SUPPORT
- PLEASE WAIT. Do not email the devs yet. The system needs to make several runs to load everyone's data correctly. Most of the current issues should fix themselves after the full restoration process is done. Give it at least 2 weeks from now.
If after everything finishes and youre still seeing clear errors in your marked mangas, report them to [email protected]
If possible, keep a small log of your observations and what you did, such as:
⠀⠀⠀*whether you re-added, edited, or deleted mangas during restoration
⠀⠀⠀*any repeated issues (random logouts, missing notifs, errors, etc.)
⠀⠀⠀*the other specific errors you noticed
Simply put, keep a log of WHAT YOU DID/OBSERVED and WHEN (use GMT or if in your local time, specify your timezone). The more specific your report is, the easier it is for the devs to trace what went wrong. It helps them replicate your actions so they can actually find and fix the problem
Here's an example log:
2026-01-26 9PM: I noticed my list went missing
2026-01-28 2AM: my list is restoring up to 67
2026-01-28 9PM: I added 10 mangas to my Already Read
2026-01-30 6PM: my restored mangas is stuck at 67
2026-01-31 10AM: my list count is increasing again. It restored up to 83
2026-01-31 7PM: I added 3 mangas to my Want to Read

I think this chapter explained why abel wants to hurt our boy again by playing dead but I just stopped reading and became illiterate because I wasn't trying to hear all that ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
Bro I'm so weak, before they gave us the evil god afflicting him backstory, she walked into his meeting and when he smiled at her I folded hard as hell. I was like, let's forgive the sad little boi.
As I read the comments about this chapter it made me analyze why I liked it. I think the reason is because of the epiphany I had about my parents as a young adult.
Growing up, my parents hurt me a lot emotionally and mentally. So as an adult, I'd bring up how they made me feel and why, again and again to try and get more apologies and acknowledgements of wrongdoing out of them.
However, eventually I found myself on the opposite side of right. I was on a side where I had broken them down to where they talked about all the hurt, pain, and betrayal I had unknowingly inflicted on them.
I realized that it was so easy get caught up in my own pain, I couldn't see anyone else's, especially not my parents' who I had typecast and written off into roles in my life from which I demanded perfection.
In reality, they were just two imperfect people who cry, stumble, and get hurt too, but were honestly just doing their best the only way they knew how.
Just like how I was a child who only knew to be arrogant and believe my feelings were of greater importance than my parents' at all times.
So I dunno, I was just feeling sentimental and projecting, but I thought it was a nice chapter. Afterall, if you won't even forgive your family, why should anyone ever forgive you?

Josh is lying about initislly sleeping with him while he was under the influence of drugs/hormones which led to chase impregnating him unknowingly, hiding his son from him, and now claims to be a beta instead of an omega as he states he knows Chase refuses to sleep with omegas because they lie and force things upon him .......and the cherry on top, maybe I missed the mention of birth control....but the web of lies here is diabolical.
We got all the obligatory bs about why he came back and ended up with chase again but the canon in my head is that Josh's intent was to come back and secure a brother for his son and by god he did that shit.
But honestly this f'd up hide the kid from their father for some bs holier than thou reason is a genre of its own at this point....Ik we've seen so much worse than this but please yall, this is far from healthy too.
The teeth are my fav part of this series. I crack up every time I see them jumpscare me. It's very Shark tales/vampiresque.
In other news, if this gets dragged out, even the creative dentistry won't be able to save it.
