Both of them is too good for this world. Jihan with no hesitation chose to sacrifice himself for the civilians.
I truly get why our ML used his power to save him.

I'm confused with their logic in that argument scene. Can someone explain both of their sides on that scene where they're screaming at each other? No matter what I do, it doesn't sink in.

Both of them are two busy trying to have the upperhand in the relationship rather than see each other as a partner basically. They’re both bad friends who look down on each other and dont want to admit feelings because it requires being vulnerable. Tak is consistently demeaning toward Sanho and treats him like an idiot, which makes Sanho insecure and lash out basically. So when Sanho thought Tak liked him and they would start dating, he was happy because it finally felt like they could be on equal footing because even tho Tak is. Well the way he is, at least he liked Sanho so they could be lovey-dovey (which is what Sanho really wants from a relationship - again, he’s insecure and wants validation from his partner) and maybe Tak will actually start being nice to him. When Tak shows open disgust towards this, of course Sanho gets defensive. He says cruel things to protect his self-image (have I mentioned he’s insecure?) because he doesnt want to feel lesser than Tak. Of course, if Tak didn’t actually have some sort of feelings, he probably could have brushed this off but it’s obvious if you look at how stony his demeanor changes, his feelings are obviously hurt so he doubles down. Tak lacks some self awareness and introspection and probably doesnt realize his feelings. I think this is because he’s the opposite of Sanho. He has an elevated sense of self and thinks liking anyone, especially Sanho who is a little dumb and goofy and has many flaws, is beneath him. Basically they do like each other but are incompatible (this is normal for a story - if they were immediately compatible there will be no plot) and saying hurtful shit to protect themselves. Personally I’m on Sanho’s side because even though he is a little annoying, all he wants is to feel loved and Tak seems to determined to withhold that to maintain his ego which is cruel imo. Sanho did say some mean stuff also but Tak started this years before so it’s really the consequences of his actions long term imo. You might feel differently though. Sanho is certainly no angel, I just have a hard time feeling bad for Tak after him constantly doing things to Sanho without his consent (aside from that I find Tak more relatable to me personality-wise though but damn homie he’s a whole rapist).

Absolutely amazing - I love how you were able to breakdown their dynamics so easily and beautifully.

He got some bad past but he didn't treat Taegun badly vs other male leads in other manhwas that authors write as if their bad past can excuse whatever the fuck they did to their partners.

Also, this is heartbreaking. Being near him, admitting his feelings to Taegun also means revisiting that dark past, that trauma.

Eyyyy March 12, 2024 2:28 pm

DANGGGG, A REAL APOLOGY!
He even contemplated if he even deserves to be be forgiven even if he just did one thing right.

God, other stories keep up please! We need more male leads like this! Like, I don't mind toxicity as long as it embraces its toxicity and acknowledges it.

Bonus if they change and truly redeemed themselves like Taejun here.

I really love how they handled TJ's redemption unlike other manhwa.

There's really resistance from the victim and there's acknowledgement from the perpetrator and he really wants to change.

I will still put him in jail in real life but if Euihyun really wanted him in his life, I would accept it since it's fiction and they really wrote an amazing redmption arc for TJ.
