Can someone tell me what's going on pleaseeeee I've been reading this for a long time but I don't get it. What is that fingers something in the sky? Why did they came back from the past? Why did that guide have to intervene and stop them from going up in the tower?

Basically, the people who were isekai'd arrive in batches, and the current generation is the 42nd. Every previous cycle ended with their world and empires being devoured by that giant monster. A new world and new generation of kings is made after that.
The Grand Dukes are actually the spirits of the previous kings, reincarnated out of sheer hatred for the monster. Their only wish is to defeat it, and only their current kings can fulfill that wish for them
The Guide started interfering at first because the MC's empire was progressing thru the tower way faster than anyone else before. Even during the MC's hiatus, he remained far ahead of everyone else. No one in previous cycles had ever reached Floor 90 except for them because the world was always destroyed before they could and the previous generations were weaker.
Anyway, so now the Dark Imperial Empire, the MC's empire, absorbed the other empires as vassals, allowing everyone to enter Floor 90 together. The tower has 100 floors, and clearing all of them is the only way to defeat the monster.
From Floors 90 to 99, the tower no longer features normal enemies. Instead, each floor is an implementation scenario where the players relive the fall of a previous empire due to the monster devouring the world. To advance, they have to prevent that empire's destruction. The difficulty is adjusted so they're only fighting a part of the monster and not the real one. Also, each floor is also based on the history of one of the current top 10 empires

Itās shounen ai because I donāt think even the main character realized he likes the other one romantically. While the story itself feels more Seinen genre imo, pretty much complicated in a way you need to pay attention more than usual. Itās an awesome read if you like stuff like that.

If the synopsis is kinda confused u dw the premise itself is kinda a part of the mystery and it gets uncovered the deeper you get into the story. But basically just know, main guy = Lau, heās a āguardianā which is sorta like a bodyguard but way more complicated cuz of lore reasons, and the other main guy = Xin, the heir to this ancient rich family. Him and Lau are childhood friends but also Lau is his āguardianā. Their relationship is currently complicated cuz of their pasts, but they do still love each other. Also donāt go into this expecting much romance rly, the main focus is the plot. They havenāt even kissed or confessed yet

This is one of my fav so I keep on rereading this. And when I reread the part where seong ah's family found him, I don't like how his family treat wooyeol. I mean I understand where their reactions came from but it kinda pissed me off. I'm having mix feelings because I understand that they are a bit over protecting considering they've been looking for seong ah for a long time but wooyeol basically saved him, so can't they treated him a bit kindly. I understand them but I don't know. For me wooyeol is one of the kindness character here except being a playboy
Yeon-ah and the dad being lowkey rude to woo-yeol is understandable. It's like a dad having a daughter and a brother who have a little sister. Seong-ah who had recently reunited with them after idk how many years suddenly dropped a bomb that he and woo-yeol are gonna get married. They don't know woo-yeol as a person + he indeed look like a thug compared to seong-ah who looks easy to manipulate. They're just worried for seong-ah but they means well ( specially the dad), dad even offers a room for woo-yeol when see saw woo-yeol super duper tired. About yeon-ah, well we can't do anything about that, it's a normal reaction if you and your siblings partner are not that close, and again they only recently met the guys.
Is that a confession or what? I didn't feel any emotion to that. He said it like he was talking about the weather. Ohhhhh maybe he likes him, like as a fudge buddy. A fudge bar who is possessive.
Well maybe that's the kind of confession he made.. Like a fudge buddy and nothing more.. That's why we didn't flutter when seeing that.. At least it matched his personality and i like the way the pacing didn't rush to be some lovey dovey
