So it takes place in a world where people can take on these like spirits/gods that give them power. Those who get a high ranking god become famous. The story is centralized around the female lead who gets a high rank god, becomes popular, and falls in love with the main guy who is like a puppet master of gods.
The uke pretends to date a mutual friend and plans to make the seme fall in love then dump him. They end up together after the seme confesses to the uke, who forgives him.
So the uke and seme are childhood friends, and the uke confesses and thinks that the seme likes him back. The uke kisses the seme only to find out the the seme had not understood the confession. They eventually end up together. It might have been part of a father with a kids story.

I read it a while back and it was about a seme who was obsessed with the uke, but he ended up with a crazy girlfriend who asked the uke to stay away. The uke tried avoiding them, but seme kept coming around trying to get him to come back to him. At one point the girlfriend attacks the uke/seme.
