I kinda feel bad for Hyeon because he has all these problems and genuinely needs therapy. His uncle could've gotten him help, as Hyeon called him out for, but didn't because of the stigma in Korea. Then only offered it when Hyeon's mental health deteriorated to the point it was going to affect his career, but the uncle had already taught him to look down on help through his previous actions.
If you think about it his story is genuinely tragic. He was forced into fame as a baby, his mom committed suicide, his dad was abusive, and due to the fame he was never allowed to grieve properly. Then because he's a more feminine man he was constantly sexually harassed and he couldn't even defend himself when they retaliated with rumors. A person like this genuinely does not have the opportunity to learn what is normal as they have never experienced normal. It reminds me of real child actors or even children of family channels that grow up with a lot of "problems" due to their fame. Again all this with no therapy and no one on his side.
I think he should still be held accountable and apologize, but in my honest opinion his actions do not make him as irredeemable as some comments make it out to be. He makes homophobic remarks (despite being gay) because his only interactions with gay men have been through the lens as a victim of sexual assault. Now is that correct? No. But when you consider Korea's already negative societal perception of LGBT plus his own traumatic experiences it makes sense why he projects those feelings onto the younger gay actor. Especially when he hasn't even worked his own feelings out yet.
I think why this is so interesting to me is that Eunho in my opinion is also not blameless here. I understand why he may have ghosted Hyeon due to his situation, but I dislike how he downplays how genuinely traumatizing it was for him. He knows of Hyeon's various problems and still works into the system of not getting him proper help due to his actor status/stigma. He already knows that Hyeon cannot sleep without him, to the point of Hyeon begging, and actively decides to leave. I think Eunho"s faults are to an extent lesser than Hyeon's, and I do see how one could make the argument that Hyeon is not a therapist. However I would also make the argument that if you are participating in a system that prevents Hyeon from wanting to seek professional help, you also can't tell him to go to a hospital once he's become codependent on you without kind of being a dick.
I feel like Eunho gets a pass from many of us in the audience because we can probably relate to him more. He's poor and had sick family he struggled to take care of. It's easier to put ourselves in his shoes and see where he's coming from. I would like to say if youre here you're probably not a billionaire actor lol. But I do think his lack of relatability and wealth makes us a lot more critical of Hyeon. It's kind of ironic but there's a panel that criticized the people who claimed well who cares about his trauma he inherited a billion dollars. And I feel in many ways we as the audience are doing the same by disregarding his story due to his weath.
I've read other stories where there's an asshole rich guy and I feel like usually it's rich guy is asshole to completely innocent twink. Then author wants them together so they are like well here's his redemption in the last 5 chapters. Hes not a bad guy hes just traumatized trope. Whereas I feel this story had pretty early on emphasized that Hyeon is an asshole, but also established his background early. Idk maybe I'm putting too much hope into a BL at 2 am in the morning lol

Is Taehan really that manipulative? In the beginning he made advances when Danwoo was literally hard and about to cum in his salon chair. But in terms of the whole teacher student relationship, Daewoo is the one who literally asked Taehan to help him. I feel like I could see how people misinterpret this as manipulation, but every step of the way Taehan has been extremely clear about his intentions and asked for consent. I also think so many people are seeing this as manipulation because they're infantilizing Danwoo. Cause guys Danwoo is a full on adult who understands what he is doing. Like I reread to make sure and even Danwoo fully knows that what he asked Taehan for is promiscuous. Hence why he wanted to make it clear that he wasn't dating Woori so he wouldn't seem like a cheater. I think the only thing I really dislike about Taehan is when he rejects Danwoo, but even then he was clear about it and has been consistent with other partners like the actor. I would dislike Taehan more if he was hypocritical but even this chapter he is curious about Woori, but when Danwoo reminds him they're not in that kind of relationship he accepts it and doesn't get angry like other MCs.
Like is he using Danwoo as entertainment? Yes. Is that poopy? Yes. Is he clear to Danwoo that he just wants to have fun while helping him and not pursue a serious relationship? Yes. Danwoo is able to leave and end the relationship if he wishes. Taehan is doing nothing to stop him from leaving. So I can't really say he's manipulative when he hasn't lied or anything. I feel like its kind of interesting that BL fans will try to defend the bottom from slutshaming. But essentially what everyone is doing here is slutshaming the top by claiming he's manipulative when he really is just a dude who wants sex with no feelings and communicates that to his partner clearly.
Like tbh I really like Woori and if I was Danwoo's friend I would tell him to go after Woori instead. But I also like Taehan and I'm really interested to see what kind of character development they give him. I'm curious if actor boy and Woori are going to end up together. Like I get liking Woori more but way too many people are babying Danwoo and acting like Taehan is some demon spawn when they're two consenting adults who agreed to a friends with benefits situation.

Hello I read this before on mrm and don't remember the name. Basically the mc and ml are both detectives in a special unit. Mc has a power where if he is in place where someone dies he will experience the death with them as well. Using these memories he gains he will help solve crime with the ml. It's extremely painful for him to do this btw. Ml is his boss and goes with him to places where mc "dies". Mc has light longer hair and ml has black short hair. I thought it was called stigmata but can't find it for the life of me
I feel like Yiyoung deserves more credit. When Doyeon first asked him out Yiyoung was literally going to tell Director Kang right away. Then he finds out the random dude is not just extremely close friends with Director Kang but also a very important business partner.
After that it becomes 10x harder because Yiyoung already told Doyeon that he has a partner thus he isn't interested and Doyeon deadass said that he didn't care. Then not like he can act unfriendly or be rude by ghosting Doyeon. Doyeon is extremely close and important to Kang both in business and personal life. As the boyfriend you don't want to offend someone like that. Especially if Kang doesn't know why you're being rude to his close friend. Then not like he can tell Doyeon that he's with Kang because Kang's not out and even if Doyeon is gay and would assumingly be accepting it's not Yiyoungs place to do that.
So I can totally understand why he is polite to Doyeon. Keep in mind he refuses Doyeon's offer to drive him home and Doyeon DRAGS him into the car. During the drive when he tries to be like oh you're going the wrong way Doyeon is legit like I'm taking you to dinner whether you like it or not because I like you. Like he got kidnapped??? Like Doyeons so wrong for that knowing that especially after knowing Yiyoung is already dating.
Like is Yiyoung perfect? Nah. He should've told Dorector Kang right away. But #1 they were in a fight where Director Kang was totally in the wrong btw. #2 A lot of the time they were working/busy and when they had time Doyeon was there and Yiyoung can't tell Kang in front of Doyeon. Like Director Kang couldn't even work out the fight with Yiyoung for a while because of it. #3 Maybe Yiyoung doesn't want to start a fight with Kang and Doyeon.
I just feel like Yiyoung is extremely young and in his first relationship, and while he didn't do the most optimal thing the fact that he prioritized immediately communicating with Director Kang once he realized how the situation made him uncomfortable is extremely mature. Idk Yiyoung never cheated or even borderline cheated. Cheating is about intention. The whole time while Yiyoung is eating with Doyeon, Yiyoung is already thinking about how it isn't right before Director Kang even calls.
Yiyoung lying is wrong. But he doesn't even wait 5 minutes before realizing wait wtf did I just do in a panic that was so fucked up and wrong before he runs to tell Kang and apologize.
