man, I think this is headed in the direction where the POS ml is going to threaten yeomin's loved ones until he comes back willingly. and yeomin will probably be ready to do whatever it takes just so POS ml doesn't hurt them, like even say he has feelings for the ml and accepting to have sex. but the ml will see that yeomin isn't into it at all, and realize the arrangement is not what he wants, bc he saw how yeomin was like when he genuinely cared about him. and the season will likely end with the POS ml letting go of yeomin, lying to yeomin and himself that it's not worth all this effort just for "some piece of ass", which is how he wants to keep seeing yeomin as. and next season I predict will have a significant time skip, with yeomin having graduated and become a teacher, but I don't know in what capacity they would be able to cross paths again

the mc is so ugly bruh what is up with those lips that somehow both look like sausages and also an anus??? he is also weirdly caucasian looking, when the artist did such a great job drawing the other characters that all look asian and have their own very distinctive features. sucks ass that one of the best looking characters is the lunatic crown prince tho

It's one thing to force money onto someone who doesn't want it (which is still a violation of consent), but breaking his dad's leg and throwing him into an asylum and then locking up Yeomin and making those threats... man, there's been some pretty toxic ml's recently, but this is just plain psycho criminal behavior.

I struggle to place this story in a genre, because on the one hand, we had some pretty funny scenes, like the ml saying that Yeomin was possessed by the protestant work ethic, so the story seemed lighthearted at times. but then there were some dark signs, like the ml threatening the loan shark about his young child, or him enjoying how "easy" Yeomin was. but those things could have been glossed over with an epic "falling hard" arc from the ml.

sadly, the story truly took a very dark turn recently and I can't see any plausible way out of this mess where they can end up together in a satisfying way for the readers. like what would that even look like? the ml would have to lose all his privilege, maybe even go to jail and realize how unhinged he is, go to therapy, do volunteer work, hell even donate his kidney, I dunno. I am truly baffled, I'll definitely keep reading to see where it goes (and to see cutie Yeomin finally escape and make a life for himself somewhere). however I don't predict I'm going to be happy with the ending, same as with Jinx and other stories.

why do authors do this bruh???? is there like a sick enjoyment for them to make readers hate the ml? are they trying to prove some weird point? I just don't get it

I kinda didn't want to comment and jinx it, but the author just keeps on delivering on her KPIs lol - great characters, great story, beautiful art, no weird plot devices or backing herself into a corner by making one of the characters become irredeemable etc. just some good ol' sexy romance fed to us regularly. I don't think I've seen a more consistently positive and enthusiastic comment section such as the one from this story in a while

I don't understand why readers expected the worst, uke already confessed his feelings before and seme said he's free to have them but to not expect a relationship. I myself don't get why the seme said to repeat "I love you" again when sober, when uke hadn't been drinking? did the seme genuinely think uke was drugged bc he was so thirsty?

I'm still upset about the crossdressing and the seme's reaction to it and it's not bc crossdressing is bad. it's simply because, in this work in particular, it fetishizes female gender presentation, reinforcing that it is inherently more visually attractive and desirable. it also reinforces that masculine beauty is less valuable by itself, it is seen as more plain, neutral, even the "default". i think the author thought she dodged something when she made the seme say "I don't want you to be a woman", but the emotional subtext still felt like: "But I like you more when you resemble one." it's uncomfortable because it subtly reframes the attraction away from "I like this man" toward "I especially like him when he aligns with a more feminine ideal." i highly doubt the same scenario would land the same way if it was a couple of gay women and one of them dressed up as a man. also, it's pretty sad that the uke got so excited to finally be able to be open with his man in public, but what it took was for him to literally come across as a woman. it wasn't a heartwarming or funny moment, just sad :(
