To all of the people who have a problem with BL lately, stop complaining about it on here and instead go on X (Twitter), find the authors socials and pm them. God I miss when people couldn’t comment on here. I’m not bashing anyone, I’m just saying let people form their own opinions on the story. If you don’t like a story don’t comment on it. Because it ruins the vibe for people who do want to read it.
Yaoi is most definitely not meant to be taken seriously. It truly is an exaggeration of mlm relationships, which is why it’s funny that some of you people are writing in the comments like you’re Roger Eberts reviewing a bad movie. It’s quite simple, if you don’t like it, move on. And also don’t be a dickrider, these manga's aren’t THAT good from a literary standpoint lol.
I really wish that these BL authors would stop romanticizing rape/sexual assault. That is the epidemic spreading through those authors. I genuinely don’t know why anyone would think of adding that to the story, considering it almost never moves the plot forward. Has no one learned from Junko Furuta?? It’s kinda disturbing that they put their characters in these situations and it ends up being the fix for the main character’s relationship. That’s just my opinion but tbh I know I’m not alone in this.
You’re not alone for sure! I’ve read BL with rape scenes before but it kinda made sense because the story was psychological and it was a huge plot point. But rape just because they can’t stop themselves or because the uke’s body is asking for it… oh hell nah fuck that! It adds absolutely nothing to the story, there’s no character development after, and it’s usually brushed off like nothing happened or it was just in the heat of the moment… I’ve dropped some BL stories before because of this and I don’t regret it
If any of you read BJ Alex you would know that this is what Mingwa does. She purposely makes unlikeable characters so that they’ll have this huge character arc. She doesn’t know how to go about it is all. And if you have a problem with how she tells her stories, take that up with her. Stop arguing with random ass people who probably shouldn’t even be reading these kinds of stories.

So the director’s a guy but in the picture they were femme presenting (???) what’s the opposite of a doll? My headcanon being that they’re trans ftm… also my pronoun usage might be off considering their gender identity isn’t super obvious. I need a lil help/gen
I think that’s his sister. Or someone he knows and he’s trying to be them. I think the last couple chapters are missing some pages because the raws definitely show more.
Ah, I see. Thanks for letting me know
Of course! She/he doesn’t really appear much in the next couple chapters.
