Mannnn if the author focuses on Dedris or wtv her name is, they could really flesh out trauma and the effects of it on a persons psyche. Her mom basically made her unable to display any form of sympathy or empathy properly. If she’s in even the slightest bit of distress she abandons whoever is causing it. And I can’t blame her her mother is vile wtf. I feel it would be very interesting to see her trying to come to terms with her severe mental health issues and trying to actively fix them. The first step is she has to tell him everything. The ML clocked her when he said she feels rather empty yeesh

From what I remember...... Charlotte and Lily changed appearances and bumped into 2nd ML who offered to help hide them from Theo's wide range search for lily. Theo realized that one of the ladies who passed the strict inspection was lily(in disguise) and 2nd ML helped her. 2nd ML and Theo were fighting when lily got kidnapped by Lennon who hid her in a shack and tried to rape her again when knight and fucking shining armor Theo barged in and saw, burned Lennon near death, took Lily back to duchy, lily telling that wasn't the first time Lennon tried that shit. Theo begging forgiveness. Lily said she cannot forgive and said she will stay in duchy since they both have goal to defeat Everett but made Theo promise to divorce without question the moment everything is over.
and then they take down Everett and Lily leaves and lives happily with her maid again, never forgiving Theo.. The end! (i’m delusional- someone please give the author some sense and empathy for the fl for once)

Kael got over Diana really fast in the novel. The only reason why Kael voted to keep Diana on the throne is bc Helios BEGGED him to. Helios came over to their duchy just to explain it to Hestia bc he knew she’d misunderstand. Kael even went against the temple, and outed them of their crimes during an imperial meeting right in front of Diana, and this happened BEFORE Kael voted to keep her on the throne. Both Helios and Diana were literally shocked cuz he did this out of no where, Kael revealing the temple’s crime was the reason why Diana’s dethronement got even stronger, it was bc of Kael. THIS DUDE LEGIT SET HELIOS AND DIANA UP. Diana’s reputation was already crumbling and Helios was having a hard time trying to stabilize the situation but Kael made it worst lmao. And again, REVEALING THE TEMPLE’S CRIMES WAS WAY BEFORE KAEL VOTED TO HAVE DIANA STAY ON THE THRONE. Helios asked Kael to keep Diana on the throne bc HE was the one that still didn’t want to give up on Diana, and Kael had a high position at that time bc he was now a Duke, and everyone respected his opinions the most.
