i think y’all have forgotten the reality of being in love. mokyeon isn’t suddenly a different person from who he was in the beginning. we’re just seeing a side of him that we didn’t get to see before. his vulnerable side. we’ve seen his backstory, and we’ve been reading things from his point of view, so we know that his strong personality has always been there. what’s different now is that being in love with nanjo has hit his weak spot.
and honestly, why is it so hard to believe that someone who is normally strong and composed can become irrational when it comes to the person they love? character development doesn’t always mean becoming a completely different person. sometimes, it’s about seeing how the same person reacts when they’re put in a situation that exposes a part of them they normally keep hidden.
i guess being in love really does make us stupid sometimes, doesn’t it?
