I can understand that getting married truly has no bearing on his capability to work and run the company successfully so being frustrated his family wants it for him to be 'complete' or to gain an 'heir' is understandable. Having your future dictated and the idea of falling into their expectations for him must be very suffocating and frustrating so I can see why he would want to avoid it to 'save face' and prove them wrong.
The issue is when he'll hurt the one he 'loves' to stick it to his parents. He'll only end up hurting himself. Cutting off his nose to spite his face will leave him without her again, unless she's happy to just be his secret girlfriend all her life, which... I mean i wouldn't be happy with that but we're all different eh.

Im on chapter 10 and have no idea what's gping on why are they being told to keep having sex and everyone is like 'yeah makes sense' wtf? Why was it all so blasé? It all felt so lame the first time, I've read so many of this stype of story and I'm used to more resistance or more intense need, just more than 'oh we're in heat, I'm gonna just do it' just felt so non urgent... I see it doesn't exactly get better but I'm just confused.
In what world are we so cautious of her because she's pregnant that you wont let her walk or undress and wash herself but you will throw her in to the sink to rub yourself on her? So uncomfortable for her! At times she looked like she was holding herself up out of it too? What a terrible idea for a sex scene. Also, why did they drain the bath to wash her? I skimmed the whole thing once the sink was involved, so stupid. But he got the bed for his hand job? Ridiculous!
As an aside, sex during pregnancy is fine unless specified otherwise by your dr/midwife. Best avoided in the first 12 weeks too.

I don't think the author or the translator knows what a dowry is.... it's what the family pays the future husband for marrying the woman, not what they get paid..... parents provided a dowry to the future husbands to help fund their daughters future lives. "acting like a lady to raise the dowry" makes no sense, the family pays the dowry to the future husband so her standing wouldn't change anything to what the family can afford to pay. Anyway, little information dump for chapter 32 that kind of annoyed me.

Sad side being dan doesn't realise he's letting him go so he doesn't get hurt more and that he's fully regretful of all the shit he's put him through, and all he can do to attone is to let him go. Dan just thinks he doesn't care and is happy to see him gone.
I guess jk also thinks Dan wouldn't want to stay with him after everything. He's always been open about leaving when the time comes and not seeming upset about it.
