I think the way little A being soo obsessed with Kendrick is because of his past. Him being an experimental project of sociopath. Maybe, he's actually a psycho who feel like it's okay to kill human. But in the end, he had a soft spot on animal since he doesn't feel awkward around animal.
Also! Notice the two survivors of the sociopath therapy are both emotionally very attached to the two who worked with children in a hospital setting. It's like the heightened emotional empathy and maturity of the doc and K positively affects the lil gremlins since they'd high-key do whatever those two ask of them.
