What you’ve described is very much just a preference rather than fetishization, especially considering that you can name the specific features that you’re attracted to and that your attraction to the feature isn’t dependent on race. I’m a sucker for hate-to-love/enemies-to-lovers. I’m guessing it’s because my mother really dislikes me and made sure I knew this even as a kid, so that trope feels healing to my inner child. I also like OP protagonists, who still appeal to me despite (or because?) being a recovered perfectionist lol lastly I’m often drawn to stories with pining, yearning, and/or regret…. I’m still unpacking why I like that trope so much.
