I gotta be honest guys, I could not have cared less for the side couple(s).
I’m hooked on the main story and while the side couples entwine with them - they’re not pivotal so any chapter with em was a skim/skip. Most specifically the red head and blondie who looks like France from hetalia (common arc type for some reason in BL)

I mean it is a short story so it gets some grace for that. It’s just stereotypical in debt omega x rich alpha but the omega sold himself and was suicidal and the alpha has a sickness with pheromones.
I actually really liked it, and the ending even kinda fit despite how bitter sweet it was. I wish it would’ve still had a bit more hopefully ending, he’ll even them marrying outside of the country would’ve been sweet but overall it wasn’t bad.
Ok but the ML’s mom is also lowkey a POS. She left her son, yeah he stayed away, but all the signs and she purposely chose to not do anything. I feel for him smz
It’s so infuriating but yeah they’re high schoolers of course they’re not going to step up to the plate - it’s still so frustrating.
So FAR (idk bout the future of this story) but so far it’s only the ML that’s the one who’s assaulting the MC. I might be wrong I didn’t continue reading it - but no other party so far.
So I’m gonna let this one marinate but I got a question: is the MC gay? I saw he had a girlfriend, so is he like bi? Has he been with another guy before the ML?
Another thing - have they said what the ML’s trauma is and why he’s suicidal?
I was worried with the whole drug thing and the gangster situation that the bottom would get slut out of straight up SA’d but it never really happens. It’s like the author was afraid (I was too) of going that far and at most he gets nakified by thugs and smacked, but the ML saves him before anything else happens.
If anything, it’s pretty inoffensive when it comes to bottom abuse - the only one who does something questionable is the top in that one chapter.
Anyway,
I really liked the story overall. The ending and resolution is a little weak, I feel like the bottom never got the proper explanation for some things he deserved but honestly it’s for the best since it kept the story light.
There wa also things that it didn’t clarify for us as readers, but honestly, again it’s for the best since it really did keep the story super enjoyable.
Was the ghost thing a lil out of place and weird? Sure.
Was the drug resolution way too quick and easy?

You can kinda tell this author is used to drawing mostly girl MCs. It’s kinda funny cuz it just makes the uke look younger but I mean I can kinda get contextually he’s just a “pretty boy”
I love ran through couples. Typically I hate promiscuous ukes but this one was in it for the love of the game and partnered with a promiscuous seme, it’s just so beautiful how much a whore can outdo another whore.
I’m not a big fan of the “raised to top” thing but I decided to give this a try. I almost had to NOPE right outta there when the bottom was thinking to himself, “what do I feel for him? Parental love?” The ONLY WAY some of this stories work is cuz it’s more of a “the hyung I grew up with” situation NOT THE FUCKING PERSON WHO RAISED ME? It’s just a lil weird I’m sorry.
I did finish it tho for the sake of giving it a proper review and it was fine. Nothing too exciting.

Listen I’m not hyper woke but the whole “listening through the walls” thing WHILE KNOWING is lowkey grooming 100000%. Like how often do u see it as a backstory for other characters where they have parental issues cuz of that EXACT thing? It’s just fucking gross.
It’s really interesting to me that the main antagonist kept calling the MC just a prostitute when she has to also crawl out of the depths to get to where she was. I think it is a little gratuitous with the SA, but NO WHERE NEAR AS MUCH AS PEARL BOY. While the prostitution is at the forefront of the story, it’s not as all encompassing, but it is the main plot point to some extent surrounding the criminal circle they’ve built up.
Honestly this one isn’t nearly as bad as pearl boy. MC does get SA’d once after he got with the ML however so warning. I’m putting it upon myself to put warnings on the following chapters:
Chapter 1 - MC is actively selling himself, only quick panel
Chapter 2-3 - his debt collector/ random dude is getting it on with the MC before ML kidnaps them both mid act.
Chapter 14 - same dude and ML is watching them through a camera
Chapter 58 - past SA
Chapter 60 - past SA
Chapter 61-63 - PRESENT SA, he gets actively assaulted here, however, the ML saves him
Chapter 74 - counting this one as the the ML himself is a little pushy after getting jealous
Afterwards NO MORE MISHAPS.
I get what this story’s purpose is I do, however, it shouldn’t be tagged as (yaoi) or (BL) or anything honestly in that case - it uses assault as the narrative device, there is no romance, and it makes you wildly uncomfortable to read. Is it well done? Sure ig. Is it too gratuitous with the SA? Oh fucking absolutely, you don’t get to ever see the MC happy even when he gets his revenge - it’s not a fun read.
