I wouldn't sympathize with him if he was an asshole. I’m sympathizing with him and I’m torn now because I know he is traumatized and I am seeing him actually trying to be better, to learn, to apologize even though he still doesn’t even fully understand. And it’s because of his behavior previously why I loved the mc’s response to him.
If the ml went there with his same piece of shit attitude and commentary. Then I wouldn’t gaf about him or be torn.
A backstory is good and all but come on. At a hundred chapters in with know basically nothing about Taeha and his back story and a few crumbs here and there about the female lead. Meanwhile Mincheol’s character and storyline is well developed and continues to be well developed.
At this point in the story it’s too much and it’s so boring. I want to know more about the main leads. I don’t want to see the story mainly through shit hole’s eye. Show it to me through hers. Make the parallels between her relationship then and how she feels in her relationship now along with parallels and insight into who tf Taeha is and why he is so obsessed with her. Then you can sprinkle in chapters with Mincheol to highlight the differences in the men and their thoughts.
Author is either out of ideas for the protagonists or Mincheol is a self insert, because HOW can it have so many backstory chapters for him? It’s literally pointless, we already know that he’s poor and lives as a gold digger, why do you have to show us more of him getting poor? I hate this author holy shit

I wish they provided a bit more context their thoughts but they are both super practical and logical people. You might not be able to tell because the manhwa doesn't give you an indepth insight into their thought process like the novel but, conversations like this don't really stick lmao . They both say what they mean, mean what they say and have an impressive understanding of one another and where they are relationship wise. It was so fascinating to see lol.
It's also one of the reasons I loved this so much!! The uke comes off as extremely naive but he is just as morally gray as the seme, just in a different way.

Maybe it's how its drawn but the director smirked and the grabbed Seo's neck, then proceeded to explain. He wasn't phased by that question at all. He understands and really enjoys Seo's curiosity and naive sides. As I said before they know each other wellll. So certain things when said rarely ever get taken out of context.
What he was phased by though is Seo going out with another man . That comment got under his skin way more than Seo's question ever did lmao.
