I finished the entire novel (read it btw!), and i am also annoyed by how self-sacrificial jaechan is! He’s still a pretty strong character, but this aspect of him pisses me off sometimes lol
it frustrates me because jaechan had a very abusive childhood, he grew up unloved and scorned by his own family, so him dedicating his 2nd chance at life to other people frustates me a lil
I agree It is very frustrating, but at the same time it's really hard to hate. Because of the family abuse he basically views himself as total crap and lacks self-worth. I haven't read the novel but I like how in the webtoon, the interactions like trying to achieve something at his own expense (body), petting his rich friend who acts like a baby, trying to use his body just to get connections, let the guy grope him just to let her in the team. Hell, in the beginning just sacrificing himself and kept telling them about the trap. It just saddens me to see this and then have other characters calling him selfish.
Indeed, it's so frustrating to see. Even Woojin sincerely wished for him to return to being selfish lol. It's even more heartbreaking when his brother pointed out that since Jaechan was used to being unloved, he desperately wanted to make a bond with people he's attached to

I don’t understand bada’s attitude and distaste for having more players. I think the only way to defeat this game (quickly) is to have all the NPCs become aware. He literally said it himself: the game ends when they complete all the endings on the ending list
i think it’s because he’s tried to tell people about it before but they either ignored him or got in the way like with hyungshin. plus, it’s probably easier to get endings that involve NPCs if they aren’t aware of them
I might be the only one who wants mincheol to become a better person and have a character development lmao. Ik he’s a scumbag and deserves some ass-kicking (which he’ll obviously get), but I also feel sorry for him… i think he ended up this way because life failed him so many times.
He’s cruel to the fl because he’s incredibly insecure about not being able to provide for her. Remember that flashback when they were shopping together, and the fl held back from buying anything because they were broke… and when his side chick asked him what he wanted, he imagined a simple, stable family life with haesoo. I’m guessing a series of misfortunes, plus the issue with the loan sharks, made him bitter and jaded that he lost sight of what really matters: haesoo.
100% sure it’ll bite him back in the ass tho when he sees the ml giving haesoo the lavish life she deserves.
