To be honest I believe Haneul is more of a better choice than he is, like yeah he's hot and everything but his overthinking would actually drive me kinda crazy. Haneul on the other hand is very straightforward, I'm all for a girl mc who doesn't see herself as less and has the bar as low as her feet go!
Ok they've been together their entire lives. The military is like, what 1.5 years?? its literally nothing. They also often have their phones and they even get to visit home sometimes. Ppl in joining the military aren't just gone forever.
PLUS he doesnt have to go now. Men can defer until i think 28. Its not at all a major problem
most do it during university because no one wants to hire someone who still has to enlist
Ok this reaction is way too much for a relationship that we didnt really see develop. Like even when things were good, Mokyeon was affectionate but we just didnt get that from Nanjo. Nanjo's reaction was always just barely on the side of mild curiosity and that was it. If they had at least built something, whether it was romance or even passionate hate, then this reaction would follow. But it feels very much like were just witnessing a one-sided relationship
No offense bc I actually do rly feel for Mokyeon(and i get he's got issues) and sometimes he's so cute it makes my heart squeeze, but hes actually insane. Like genuinely.
He's entirely emotionally dependent on someone that he barely knows. He has friends that care and look out for him, but he's stuck on someone that he's barely interacted with outside of the bedroom. Truthfully, i've never really seen the two of them even get along beyond maybe 2 chapters. His need to build a connection with Nanjo seems to entirely stem from physical compatibility, rather then personality qualities. Man needs therapy, to reconnect with nature, and maybe some abstinence
As someone who isn't very romantically inclined in real life, I honestly kinda get Jiheon's perspective. He acknowledges that he deeply cares for Jaekyung, and also finds him attractive. But he has a track record of struggling to feel love so seeing someone he cares about being so deep in already and being fairly sure you won't be able to return that is actually a fairly rational concern.
On top of that, he's kind of superimposing his own regrets and desires onto the ML in swimming. Jaekyung is trying to simplify their relationship so theres less baggage

Actual plot is highly underdeveloped, as is the relationship and characterizations
