Ok this reaction is way too much for a relationship that we didnt really see develop. Like even when things were good, Mokyeon was affectionate but we just didnt get that from Nanjo. Nanjo's reaction was always just barely on the side of mild curiosity and that was it. If they had at least built something, whether it was romance or even passionate hate, then this reaction would follow. But it feels very much like were just witnessing a one-sided relationship

His need to build a connection with Nanjo seems to entirely stem from physical compatibility, rather then personality qualities. Man needs therapy, to reconnect with nature, and maybe some abstinence
As someone who isn't very romantically inclined in real life, I honestly kinda get Jiheon's perspective. He acknowledges that he deeply cares for Jaekyung, and also finds him attractive. But he has a track record of struggling to feel love so seeing someone he cares about being so deep in already and being fairly sure you won't be able to return that is actually a fairly rational concern.
On top of that, he's kind of superimposing his own regrets and desires onto the ML in swimming. Jaekyung is trying to simplify their relationship so theres less baggage

My guess is that the ex and the ML were actually only together IN NAME, aka, they were pretending to date all this time while the ex had one-sided feelings for him.

I think they were genuinely good friends but she likely used the excuse of using him as an internet bf to strike a deal with him. He might've gotten some benefit too, like ppl not making moves on him. It would explain why they were so public with their relationship and why she seems genuinely confident that there's something for him to remember.

First, his parents are definitely gonna bail him out. The worst Seo-In could be charged is really battery. He lowkey beat the shit out of that guy who didnt really deserve it imo. Everything else like drugs, there's cameras all over korea. It wouldve captured who really set the place up.
Second, who can even really get in between them? Even if Seo-In develops a bad rep and lose his job, does he even really care? We've never seen him take care of himself, nor show a passion for modeling. It's just the easiest job for someone naturally super hawt. He'd pick love over modeling literally any day. If he had invested those earnings wisely, dude would be coasting. They're both also an adult now, theres literally nothing the parents could do.
The only real issue is how they both want to treat the past. Neither of them are inherently wrong. There's value in facing your past, and in wanting to focus on the future. PERSONALLY, i think Yeongwoon is more in the right. Its true that the ML didn't rly cause his problems, and YW is the real victim here. It's not realy ML's place to dictate how it should be handled. But where YW's avoidance goes too far is when he turns a blind eye to that ganster's interest.
Seo-In's issue is that he actually gets VERY emotionally invested once he does. He feels tied to his mom bc of the concept of 'love', but here's the thing: he could give her up too. He doesnt HAVE to stay connected to her at all. He's a full grown adult. But we see that even though he generally avoids her, he hasn't truly cut her off'
In other words, YW and SI could really avoid problems if they just communicated better. But SI is so emotionally invested yet sensitive at the same time while YW sas massive avoidant behavior.

For a long time, I've wondered what it is that draws me to yaoi. Maybe bc im unbelievably straight, and seeing two d*cks has gotta be better than one(lmao). But recently I realized it's bc there's just better writing, on average, in the BL community. On ao3, i like just as many same-sex ships as I do straight ones. But in webtoons and manga, I generally prefer BL bc josei romances just feel so...bland to me. The character designs are always overly flowery and the female leads are generally bland and perfect. They lack layers and dimension.
The male ML's are similarly flat but are often extremely perfect to a point where theyre indistinguishable from one ML to another. But they always fall for the MC so quickly that it makes you wonder what there even is to like. My current fav josei is Childhood Friend Complex. The chars are unique, flawed but enjoyable, and have genuine chemistry thats special to them.
