I enjoyed the story a lot and I don't mind it being lighthearted. But it is worth remembering that stories that glorify the military without acknowledging the horror of war do not promote a nuanced or realistic view of military operations irl. Cute story tho I think they just wanted an excuse to draw cute girls in uniforms :P
I feel like the hatred she felt for him and the cruelty he did to her family was just too much to love. I would've been more satisfied if she actually did just divorce him peacefully. It's fine if she forgives him but they felt WAY too far gone for the switch to love to feel like it made any sense / wasn't toxic trauma bonding
I thought everything in this story that had to do with the witch was awesome. Overall liked it a lot.
But the author needed to chill tf out on the "big sister beats her little brother and his caretaker" bit that they seemed to think was just the funniest thing ever invented. It wasn't any funnier the 50th time than it was the 1st time..
I'm reading this because I really like the fl lead. She's super interesting but the way the ML treats her is HORRIFIC. Assaulting her and trying to sexually abuse her even though he thinks she's mentally ill and calls him her uncle. Im 50 chapters in and he's still acting like a perverted child. This story is ragebaiting me I swear. I just want to see her become happy but this guy is truly awful

I dropped 20 soemthing chapters in because it wasn't very entertaining and stuff kept making me uncomfortable. All this talk of people expecting a teenager sold as an 8 year old to get pregnant .. and the ML always acts like he's sorry for neglecting her but not sorry for actually agreeing to such a disgusting marriage in the first place (and we know it's not just that "times were different" because they mention that he received extensive criticism for it). The FL lead goes on and on about wanting to stand for herself on her own merit and then turns around and begs an unwilling guy to get her pregnant.
If it actually gets better- more entertaining, and less disturbing, and the characters grow to recognize that their way of thinking sucks- please let me know so I can pick it back up. Im sure they're trying to set up character development here but it's just making me uncomfortable.
