Hii, I'm rereading this since I dropped it like almost a year ago because I got mad at smt in it. Anyway, I'm at chapter 45 rn and I just noticed that Aisha's eyes have turned purple and I remember them being a black-ish grey at the beginning. Is this important to the plot and like crazy foreshadowing to something or did they just change the character to fit the fantasy vibe better. I feel like its foreshadowing to some sort of power, because if shes supposed to be Korean her eyes would be a natural colour.
This sucks. The pacing, especially at the beginning, is ass. The story moves too quickly when there is conflict and then too slowly when its mundane everyday things. At the very beginning its revealed that the mc committed, but suddenly after possessing the villainess all those feelings of misery that lead her to committing are forgotten. No plot, just bad characters. Speaking of the characters, they are incredibly shallow and it often feels like there are no others than the fl, mls and the og fl. I could barely keep my focus, because the story and characters kept annoying me so much that I often had to check again if what happened in the story really happened.
Is it bad I find Duke Delov a better ml Im at chapter 32 and during the first few chapters he was presented so cute and handsome and likw I really thought he'd be the ml and their divorce was just a misunderstanding but now there's the other duke and I feel like hea being shoved down my throat like "They have so much in common blah blah blah" BUT LIKE DUKE DELOV IS MY ML. WHY WOULD THEY PRESENT HIM SO CUTE, SHOW THAT HES OBVIOUSLY TRYING TO EXPLAIN THAT HES NOT CHEATING (he obvi WASNT cheating) AND THEN SHOW HOW DEEPLY HURT HE IS AFTER THE DIVORCE...WHY give him so much ml material just to NOT give him to us

I think this art style highlights the chaotic nature of the characters, story and honestly everything about it. Although normally I would be cringing at the lack of anatomy, I feel like it just makes sense for this story if you know what I mean

I read this a few months ago and reread again to make sure I knew what I was going to post a hate comment on. This sucks. Its literally such a generic story, but the only difference is the pedofilia.
I was unsure what their age difference was during the whole read, but it was obvious the ml was well above 18 and fl looks like shes 12.
And I do not care for replies that are gonna be like "Yeah, but during those times it was common for older men to date younger women." Let me remind you, we are living in the 21st century where common sense and morals exist. AND THE STORY IS LITERALLY A FANTASY SETTING. IT WON'T BE HISTORICALLY ACCURATE. AND IT SHOULDNT BE IF THE PEDOFILIA WILL BE TREATED AS SOMETHING GOOD.
I enjoy period pieces where the ways of that time are looked down on and not being seen as something totally okay. PEDOFILIA IS NOT OKAY.

The ending is so anticlimactic and the boring ass read to get there is not worth it. I recommend this to no one.

Seriously...I just love how natural Cedric and Dylans relationship is and how they aren't just lovers, but best friends. And I love the relationship those two have with their families. LIKE FINALLY a good mother for the ml and the fl has a loving family and an amazing relationship with her sister. This whole story feels so right! They're love is so natural, like its OBVIOUSLY meant to be This is the kind of love I NEED in my life SERIOUSLY
This is HOT okay, but like I can't help but hate Richard... I understand that Courtney loves the feeling of being in control but their relationship is just so unhealthy. Courtney NEEDS someone to be there for her and help her control her anger instead of someone who gets aroused by her every move.
It really just feels like Richard is there for the pleasure, especially with the early chapters of him manipulating Courtney to "show her true sadistic side".
She can't even show her true feelings because that would probably ruin the mood for Richard!
Yeah, I understand your point, but looking back at his past, I dunno, it's like he lacks basic empathy because of how he was raised. There's smth in his past that makes him yearn for punishment.
