Greyson is—in clinical terms—a psychopath, but even so, we cant excuse what he did to Chase in KMIYC but we can understand it. He wanted to prevent rape in the house, to make Chase use inhibators so he doesnt go and rape somebody while in his rut.

If John planned to murder Tim and Tim found out and murdered John, whose the victim in this situation?

John is not the victim, nor is Tim. They both had bad intentions, and they both acted on them. So both of them are the perpretrators (Idk the spelling, english is my third langauge mb) meaning, that both of them are in the WRONG.

Just like how Greyson planned the rape Dane. Greysons plab was to exhuast Dane until he said yes, an example of forced consent which is a category in Dubious Consent. Which does come under Rape, but not as severe. But still, Dane saying no will always mean NO.

Then, unbeknownst to Greyson, Dane went into heat.

Dane isnt a yellow flag because he doesnt want children, Dane not wanting children is completely alright, but its the reason why he doesnt want children that makes it problematic. I'll apologise because I'm going to spoil;

Dane is a product of his mothers rape, so his mother was alchoholic, toxic and abusive. The reason he doesnt want children is because he doesnt want to end up like his mom and abuse his child. Thats whats problematic, because he didnt move on from his trauma. Its a slow process to move on from trauma, i dont suppose he knows if he even had trauma, but that WAS trauma because it stopped him from doing something because of the past.
He can still choose to not want children after healing from his trauma, but he hasnt awknowledged it so we wouldnt know until the next side story in the Novel.

And easy way to get rid of Greyson by not beating him to death was probably to issue a complaint to the Fire Station Chief, or directly to Greysons father, the mayor. We already know Dane is his own anapolgetic self so he would've done that. But during his frusteration, Josh's Plan came to mind and he acted on it.
