While I think the justice system is horrible as it is now and super corrupt, I would have absolutely loved to see Locke get tortured to death in prison by the other inmates (which is what happens to predators like that in jail ^^). Victor also should have gotten dragged into this shit. That island shouldn’t have been blown up. What about the families that never got peace of mind or justice for their loved one? What about justice for the omegas brutally tortured and raped for “science”? All using Victor’s money. Both him and his wife should live with the guilt that their son was a monster and it was their fault for blaming the victim of a pheromone attack.

We're talking about the country that only raised the age of consent from 13 years old three years ago, the country where drawing child pornography isn't a crime, where the possession of actual child pornography isn't a crime. A country where "lolicon" and "shotacon" are even a thing, where the sexualization of minors is an "appeal aspect" and a must for mainstream media, be it manga, anime, music, theatre or cinema.

If those problems were never called out you end up opening a door to the normalization of these problematic gesture. Calling out pedo culture in Japan is the same as calling out the gun violence problem in the USA, calling out the racism problem in Argentina or calling out the systemic misogyny in Afghanistan. It doesn't mean that those problems define everyone in these populations, but that they are problems that affect these ppl day to day and therefore way of thinking.
