Oooo yeah he definitely just sees the baby as something to tie himself to mc. Its not jealousy but obsession towards mc that he's willing to have someone to 'share' mc with as long as its means extra security for his relationship. I can totally see him killing the kid off if he deems that the kid is getting in the way of him and mc using some sort of plot or planning to make it seem like an accident or something.
