In the orginal world her friend wrote the book and made her a boy because she wanted a life where she had loving parents and was a boy. But then made her brother who was always taking abuse and sticking up for her a character who is abused and driven to suicide. I mean obviously she didn't think they would end up in the story but it's still crazy.
Yo mc ain’t dumb you just can’t understand his complex feelings. Also he doesn’t like his brother because he compares him to his sister that he’s starting to forget. The brother grew up with many things he wished his sister had. For that reason he tried to create distance between them because he genuinely can’t bring himself to like the guy.
