I hate stories like these where the FL is the sweetest person on earth. Never even hurt a fly yet. People are so wicked and dog pile abuse on her like it's so ridiculous and it's kind of hard to read because you're wondering when is this bitch going to win and the crazy thing is she never does. The revenge is never good. It just ends up with her being with the man that caused all these troubles
They gave her so much lore the FL but usually with the amount of lore the FL would usually quit bringing up that she's living in a book.
I thought the brother hated her but it said that he loved her which is kind of frustrating like okay cool. Love your family but why paint him in such a weird light? I get to find new what was happening next. I wouldn't need to read the comic but it's infuriating with the flip-flopping of character personality
And to go back on her the FL lore they've given her too much back story to the point where they're forgetting stuff they already wrote. There's no drawbacks to that and now they're just adding even more stuff. I'm starting to wonder if this is one of those comics that don't have a happy ending, which I'm okay with, but it wouldn't make sense for her to have a happy or positive ending or satisfying for that matter with the amount of problems they've given her and how much hate is towards her. I feel like it'd be ridiculous and unrealistic for her to defeat all these odds
I don't see how it's flipflopping? Rereading or skimming back again might help you refresh your memory, but they never changed his personality. Cesar is abusive asf to Ruby, but plays the role of a perfect brother (he's obsessed with her, but views her more as a toy rather than a person). She said before that he's sweet until you displease him then he turns extremely violent, which is why she tries her best to accommodate to him and act like a happy family. No one from Romanha knows about the abuse that Ruby's family put her through.
The author also has been sticking to the original storyline of the novel. There is a lot of backstory and plot added in which gives the story more depth, but it's far from messy. Updates are just spaced out which makes it harder to remember every detail, which is why I reread it every oh so often. I also don't see it as being unrealistic or unreasonable for her to overcome the challenges since she's constantly getting better and building connections. She also has the advantage of knowing the future. If she saves Ellen then that would be the biggest hurdle. She already has the support of the Duke, the empress, her husband, and all the knights, with her connections growing more and more each day. Only thing that wasn't explained by the OG novel plot was related to the monsters liking Ruby, but that's probably because Ruby is a saintess or something (my personal theory) which will most likely tie into the story later.
Yeah, maybe reading back may refresh my memory. I know that he was always like the worst. And abusive but in the recent chapters with the flash the flashback and how they're acting at the party is confusing me because at first she was scared and she had to put up a front. But now it looks like she's actually enjoying herself hanging out with her brother.
I will say based on how the series has been being uploaded has tainted my opinion a bit because the story feels off because the uploading is kind of off
And I know it's good that she's building connections and you know kind of saving herself from the story and making friends and getting a mentally stronger. But what I meant by unrealistic usually what happens in stories like these where the FL has just been getting beat up on and she is on the brink of death. Every chapter towards the series ending. It's like the stuff never happened and automatically her mental strength and physical strength is OP
What I would hope is that they don't fast track her strength and her toughness because then it would be unrealistic and Not satisfying. Because not every story needs a happy ending
Strongly agree! I prefer unhappy endings actually, so I wouldn't be disappointed if it didn't end well. If you look at Ruby's eyes in the recent updates they look more empty like she's dissociating for the most part when talking with her brother or at least that's how I viewed it. I think Ruby is healing slowly, but because of how good she is at keeping up a facade, it might seem more glossed over

I keep seeing people complain saying that she turned him into a tyrant its what she wanted what was she expecting she was expecting to get the perfect tyrant for this rebellion and the perfect chess piece so she could follow out her revenge. She's aware of how good of a tyrant she made when he said that he fed the emperor that poisoned Crystal. She already accepted how good of a timer she made him which is why she complimented him. She wasn't expecting for him to go his own way and not listen to her. Her end game was killing the emperor and he was aware of that but because she made the best tyrant he made it to where she could stab chop off legs and do the whole nine to the emperor and still be alive after it. He got in the way of her revenge.
People are also complaining that she wants to run away but y'all also have to remember she's had a shit life and hasn't really had the time to chill out and be alone with her feelings. Her running away isn't really a physical thing but a metaphor thing ( she will run away physically though) she wants to run away from all the bad and all the hurt and to just be free because she was made into a sword for 400 years and was killing people against her will and that sticks with a person.
I wish the author went with the route of her killing the emperor and her realizing that's what she wanted but not what she needed she didn't need to kill him to sooth her soul that shouldn't have been the reasoning for assassinating him The reason should have been just to get him off the streets cuz he's a menace. But Dylan went ahead and thought he was doing good but he's really getting in the way so because she has unfinished business she doesn't know what to do because the emperor is done she can't do much with him or to him so now she's left with the after.
I don't know how many people have experienced wanting to do something or wanting to get something so bad and then you get it and it's not what you expected it to be like. It's like meeting your heroes in a sense you idolize somebody thinking they're so great and then you have the chance to meet them and speak to them and they're totally not to expected and it's a total letdown.
A couple others were also wondering or wanted her to try to kumbaya with her family because they feel bad her family didn't feel bad because they completely alienated and bullied their siblings /daughter they were "feeling bad" because of how great she turned out and how much positive publicity she was giving the family. Not the dad though he don't care he told her at her grandmaster party to stay out of his face in public He's a real problem. I'll say the only person out of that whole family to actually feel bad and not because of what she has to offer and benefit them was the second brother the blonde one because he had a closer bond with her even though it was short-lived he wanted a younger sister then what he got her he loved her spend time with her but then to stop himself from getting alienated from the family he copied his dad in his older brother by shunning her.
A big reason why I think she didn't try to mend her family or her relationship with her family is because being the sword for 400 years she seen how people act ed and if anybody knows history repeats itself so probably seeing how every emperor was the same every person who wielded her sword was the same so she didn't find any need to mend her relationship with her family because she already knew coming back into that second life they wouldn't love her anyway.

So does anybody want to explain to me as to why a chapter was uploaded twice and on all illegal manga reading platforms it's like they all copy from each other without actually looking. The difference of them chapters is the font we don't need y'all to update in every font y'all have please only update one y'all are irking me with this especially since this manga in particular barely gets updated it'll be gone for months and come back The story is kind of whack but I'm trying to stay strong

Omg I hate when the women on the side know that the men they're dealing with have a wife or a girlfriend and they do dumb stuff like start wearing the wife's clothes putting on her jewelry or sleeping on her side of the bed that stuff can get you caught up and they know that but they do it because they think that the men that they're having the affair with will choose them No dummy Even though he's a dirty cheater he's going to be with his wife at the end of the day because they're married. As toxic as that sounds All it takes is for the husband to fake apologize and the wife to forgive him and try to move forward for the side chick to get kicked to the curb.
I wish that the neighbor girl didn't get the wife to cheat and have an affair not really my fav thing to do because if the husband finds out first he can easily say the wife was cheating on him so he started cheating on her it's that easy to switch it up regardless of any proof because our FL is a sweetie pie and she will feel bad for having an affair regardless of how she was feeling in the marriage I know that for a fact.
I don't wish this on me but if I were a side chick and I was aware I was dealing with a married man I would not step foot in his house or any of that let alone take pieces of his wife's clothing she just messed up her bag like that. Also from my understanding the FL got married because her mom wanted her to because she wanted to spend her daughter money but why would the FL get married if they was only dealing with each other less than 6 months I think they got married within 3 months of meeting each other like come on and you expect to be in a happy marriage not saying she deserves cheating but she's literally shacking up with a stranger

not so fun fact: in middle Eastern traditions, a man can come and ask for your hand in marriage (from the parents, not even the bride) when you barely know his name or anything and if he's wealthy enough and the parents like him you could literally get married in like, less then 2 weeks.

I don't like this volume at all I would have preferred if they kept it in the chambers, because how is it that rui can get away with her behavior. She's destroyed saya's life life I'll remind you of a couple things she has done
•tried to kill her mentally ill mom
•befriended her for the sole purpose of sleeping with her husband
•got her husband's ex-wife to kill herself thinking it was Saya so the ex brother-in-law can seek revenge on the both of them in turn a attempt for her life
•ruined her social life with the scandal of cheating on her husband with the new guy ( husband's ex-brother-in-law) with him drugging her and taking pictures of her naked
•made her lose her career and now works with a bunch of low life bums who don't respect women
And that's just the tip of the iceberg of what has been done to our poor MC. Now rui gets to play crazy and get her brother back who don't even want her and our MC is shaking in her boots because she's traumatized.
And I don't know who that want to be tutor/psychiatrist is but I feel like he was a nerdy guy who wanted Rui's Mom but wasn't able to bag her as a kid and now the only way he can be near the mom is taking care of the daughter who he's aware is getting beaten and the mom is fully aware of this guy's feelings because she said something about it when he tried to catch her from falling down the stairs. I don't know what his deal is but I find it weird that you're aware a child is being abused yet you don't report it or help the child at all but you'll help the kid with plastic surgery housing them after probation and allowing them to continue to manipulate those around them. Now that her crazy self has her brother. now what. how is the story going to progress because honestly he's so worried about not hurting her feelings or driving her to be More crazy which isn't helping but he doesn't want no relationship outside of brother sister what does she want with him I don't know what else she wants with him because ugh.
Also akiyama I forgot his name the brother in this situation he's a straight bum he should not even be thinking of no relationship with our MC at all in the MC shouldn't be thinking about no relationship with him because how is it that his sister was able to ruin your life but you wanna hug up and kiss up on him No ma'am and he's completely ignoring and enabling what his sister has done to her.but she's the love of your life right cut it out cut the BS. And I don't like how his character is set up like I feel bad for him because he's the one with the crazy sister so he feels responsible for all the things that she's doing but he also won't speak against her when she's doing that stuff and they're not even related so I kind of feel like it's going to come out that he loves his quote-unquote sister More than you would family because ain't no way you keep allowing this stuff to go on hurting the people that you like and love.
Brief intermission to air out akiyama the brother's wife. You bitch obviously knew that he wasn't into you like that. I think she was the relationship that he got into after he broke up with Saya. So how I'm perceiving it is she approached him when he was at an all-time low and was able to date him and then the sister told her she's not going to be able to keep him for long because he's still in love with his ex lady or whoever so act like you're pregnant or get pregnant so you can keep him so that's exactly what she did. And his ex-wife is super insecure so she was able to bag this amazing dude that she wouldn't be able to on his best day and he only kept her around because he's a stand-up guy and was going to be there for his kid so she thinks she's the queen of the world and then the sister keeps coming in whispering in her ear stuff about Saya when she hasn't even done anything. And she had the nerve to write in her letter I'm not going to let you be a slave or something like that to your sister or your ex-girlfriend. Which makes sense I wouldn't want to be with anyone like that either but it's like she's completely not understanding the role she played in all that and then she's mad that he put the divorce papers in like girl you started hitting the nail on the head and wanted him to reevaluate himself and think about how he's letting these people control his life then when he wants to let you go so he's not hurting you you're mad about it talking about some you only care about our son the girl does she not remember how she ended up with him he didn't love her to begin with.
I really can't believe all this started because some mom was beating and bullying her kid who knew something like that would grow into what it is today. Literally every adult in her life failed her her mom her stepdad and that tutor person. And I think the tutor the real villain he was able to see the whole villain origin story and did nothing to stop it
The only real one in this story is that private investigator he's the only one running the story along at this point because the brother is just going to let his sister do whatever. Saya I assume is content with her horrible life she has now and her ex-husband don't even care about anything really. The investigator is a real one but I don't like what he did in the last volume to Saya I don't like how he was trying to befriend her and was just asking her these invasive questions as if she wasn't currently going through a crisis and to break up with her husband he was wrong for that.
All right I'm confused on how we got here The story made sense up until they put on disguises and left. Why did they leave? I read the chapter beforehand and it doesn't make any sense and with this most recent chapter it still don't make any sense I skipped around because honestly it's not even worth my time but I still do want to know where is this story going and what's happening

So basically in a nutshell FL’s father and essentially her entire family planned to take her and run from the country when they found out about the marriage. FL/ML/Emperor are concerned her family may rebel or do something even more drastic since they are clearly and firmly against the marriage. Also, there was some concern someone might try and kill her again before the wedding. So in order to stop the FL’s family from talking her away or doing something stupid the FL and ML temporarily left while the wedding is being prepared. Basically once the wedding is ready they’ll return and get married before her family can stop them and then it will be too late.
Oh I forgot. The disguises are because they know FL’s family will try to find her and send people to track her down and take her back if not do so themselves. Since ML is the only person other than his father that has red hair it makes him stick out and super easy to track. So they used the disguises to help hid themselves. If you go back to when their hair/eyes change color that’s why ML is upset at first bc while he was hidden it made her stick out in some ways defeating the purpose of changing in the first place
If you don't plan on updating the whole chapter, don't do it at all. You're wasting everyone's time
