The abuse doesn't stop at all as the story progress, though Haewon did attempt su1c1de and was "found" dead and Haeyoung only finds out through the news and it left him mortified. But Haewon survived the said attempt and has been staying somewhere far to run away from Haeyoung, but in the end Haeyoung finds him, apologizes while sobbing, hyperventilating and sh and Haewon eventually forgives him and goes back to him.
The ending overall is just Haeyoung being more tame, but Haewon still gets beaten up whenever he triggers something that Haeyoung doesn't like so he's still on tiptoes while with Haeyoung.
