You have got to open your eyes and brain to see that this situation isn’t just simply cancel culture being toxic. While hating isn’t okay, the setting, time, and place makes the premise of the story just ignorant to those who were affected. It’s like twisting the dark facts to suit the general audience’s taste.

I think its more than “hes gay” or “hes bi” (rose), this is an actual entity that was curious and drawn by how edgar looked like—i dont believe that there was any romantic feelings involved. Rather, it was a relationship something like a child and their toy. It’s been a while since ive read the novel, and while I did joke about their relationship being doomed yaoi, their actual connection was never meant to be something of a romantic or platonic one. Rose is just a curious demon, thats all
