I'm reading it and so far, I hate it in a it pisses me off kind of way. There's too many things that just conveniently fall into place because they don't matter that much, and then there's things that should be preventable if the MC used her brain a little. It's just a bit inconsistent, which causes it to feel shallow. Otherwise, it's not that bad because I haven't dropped it yet and I'm on chapter 35 ish

Yes, before marrying Larcy (Fl), Jevon (Ml) had 6 concubines from other nations for political alliances/hostages. He doesn’t love any of his concubine, only sees them as his political pawns. As they’re useful, then he keeps them otherwise they’re discarded. Other than Larcy, he never slept with any one of them nor showed any affection. Originally Larcy was just another pawn/hostage, but she proved herself being useful and Jevon had slowly fallen in love with her. Larcy had found other ways to keep the other nations allied with Chariot, so Jevon divorced 4 of the original concubines and sent them back back to their nation (tho one of the concubines was thrown into prison after her attempt on Larcy). The other two concubines are friends with Larcy and have no interest in the Emperor. A new concubine had joined but that was cause Larcy said the emperor should take her in for an alliance. The new concubine is also one of Larcy’s friend and has no desire to take Larcy’s place. He doesn’t have any children with any of his concubines. He’ll only have kids with Larcy, since she’s the only one he cares about.

Will he be divorcing all of them in the end? Or will they stay?

So far he divorced 4 of the original 6 concubines. Unless Larcy tells him to, he probably won’t divorce them since they’re part of his alliance with the nations the concubines are from. Larcy likes them and they’re on her side, so they won’t try to take Larcy’s place as Empress (former concubines on the other hand would try everything to take her place). The first concubine isn’t liked in her home kingdom, especially since they sent her to Jevon when she was still a child, so it’s better for her to stay as Jevon’s concubine then returning to her kingdom. Jevon would probably divorce them if they fell in love with someone else. As long as he has something that can be used for his alliance with the other nations, he doesn’t really care to be still be married to them. Larcy doesn’t mind if he has other concubines, since she knows he doesn’t care for them and only loves her (it was kinda obvious since she was the only person, in both her lives, he willing used his healing powers for). So right now he’ll stay married to the three remaining concubines, unless things change in the next few chapters. He did take a new concubine in recently, Larcy encouraged him to take her as his concubine. So he might take in more concubines if Larcy said to, but once again no matter how many concubines he takes in or discards, Larcy will always be his Empress and the love of his life. Tbh the concubines are more of Larcy’s harem then Jevon’s harem.
