Even after she dies, many readers (me included) do not wish for her to come back to life. This is because death is kinder to her than her endless suffering when she was alive.

The novel still continues after that happens. Varkas turns back time and morphs his soul into her beloved wolf. We can see her again in this 2nd timeline, majority from Varkas's POV but she has already lost their child and depressed as hell. Surprisingly, not much going to change except for Varkas guarding her in close proximity as her wolf.

Someone else said how author is tormenting her even after her death is too much and I 1000% agree. Even in 2nd timeline, she is still miserable.

Yeah I know, it’s actually such a depressing story, but yeah death has always been kinder to people than life…but still if I could write and alternate universe for her she would be on the top of the world and be loved by all cause she deserves it.

This makes me really not want to read this at all I feel sorry for Talia.

She being alive is disrupting her plot armor.

I swear to God, after reading the part where she dies, I felt a huge sense of relief and surprisingly, it wasn't just me. Many readers shared the exact same sentiment.
Can you imagine how painful it is for the FL to stay alive when readers feel death is a better option for her? And to feel this way about the main character, no less? Imagine why.
We’ve all read tons of sad stories, but this is one of the few where every time I read it, I feel completely hopeless. Readers typically root for the MC to survive in the end, but this time, many genuinely feel it’s better for the FL to be gone for good.
There was no easing or escaping her pain to the point that many readers expressed they didn't want her resurrected just to relive all her trauma.
When we saw Varkas crying and praying for her to come back to life or turn back time, many of us were terrified for her. It felt so unfair. Even after her painful ending, why bring her back to traumatize her all over again?
Author is doing too much.

Because the current world's Varkas was still alive, the original Varkas became her beloved wolf instead.
Later in the story, after saving the wolf, FL started to believe it was the reincarnated soul of their son.
Tragically, Varkas ordered the wolf killed after it bit his brother (even though the brother 100% deserved it!!!).

I believe the author wrote this arc to give us insight into Varkas's side of the story. He was just as miserable, spending his entire life cursed, manipulated, and used as a political and military pawn. To make matters worse, he is terrible at showing his true feelings for the FL.
His siblings, people work for him and basically everyone around him look down on FL.


When he once attempted to strike down one of his siblings, his own curse backfired and attacked him, putting him in a coma for days. Even though he desperately wants to break free from his curse, he still hasn't found a way.
