If they live in the jungle away from western culture, then why is Lodi circumcised? It just seems so unlikely....
I mean, some Japanese people do but it's not nearly as common and it's not regularly done at birth. Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure the translators did the de-censor, and there's a decent chance they're westerners. Not that it even matters, it was just one of those weird "huh" moments I guess, lol.
I mean, if Hideo is 70, then he was fifty when Akaboshi died, so they still got some good time together.... If I don't think of it like that, then I'm gonna bawl.
No he should younger than 50 since Hideo was teaching him way back in high school
The extra says Hideo is 70, Akiyoshi has been dead 20 years, so he was 50 when Akiyoshi died. He was only in college when he was teaching Akiyoshi, so he can't have been more than five years older. That means Akiyoshi would have been at least 44 or 45 when he died. My logic was that they got at least ten years together in Germany, so I can be happy that they were happy for a decent amount of time.
... is anyone else annoyed at Kagami for this crap? I think it's way more likely that Shingo is right and it's Kagami's smell that has faded (though to be fair, not from falling out of love but from being annoyed with the foreign actor's advances). But, Kagami seems to think that because he loves Shingo that the problem can't possibly be with himself or something he's done. Instead, it has to be Shingo's fault. He thinks Shingo should just understand him no matter what questionable stuff he does. Trust is an important part of a relationship, and I feel like Kagami hasn't put in the real time or effort to build that with Shingo, a person he knows is insecure, and instead just goes "whelp, you should just get it by now and trust me and let me do whatever even if it totally looks looks like I'm avoiding you and cheating."
But I know Kagami does love Shingo, so I hope he gets his act together so that they can have a real happy ending and not a bs one.
Short, hot and sweet. But am I the only one who wants Rin to top Haru? I'll take whatever good stuff I can get with the two of them, but I seem to be pretty alone in that camp. :/
I did like it, I would just like it better if the positions were reversed. I totally agree about the personality thing. I mean, Rin's a crybaby, but I feel like that just makes him a cuter seme. And Haru's so apathetic that seeing him as a flustered uke is also cute. But that's just imo. I'm to the point where I want to see them together bad enough that I'll just take whatever I can get. :/
Rin being bottom has almost ruined the ship for me.
urgh!! seriously? if you don't like it then don't read it!! there are people who love rin as a uke and i can't ever see him as a seme it's so weird and i can't stand it. so i am here! nobody asked u to read stuff u don't like... so get the fuck outta here
... then it's definitely worth the read. The plot threads and characters are interesting and the art is definitely high quality. The juxtaposition of the more western style to the more traditional manga style is superbly done. That said, you do need to be able to handle nudity and mature themes to get through it. Definitely not for the weak of heart.
Shintaro Kago has a lot of great work, he's capable of some really brilliant social commentary... IF you can get past the fact that he obviously has a pretty big scat fetish. He really is not afraid to insert it into nearly every piece of work he has, so if you can't stomach seeing a ton of images of people defecating, then don't even bother.
