I just finished season 1. I found it refreshing but really boring. Does this get anymore interesting? Does it get more of a plot?

I was enjoying it as Ive not really read anything like it before, but then there was just random sexual assault and I couldn’t continue reading. I just really can’t stand anything with that.
Or is it the actual pacing? Everything is going like so fast but at the same time I can’t make sense of it lmao. It’s super interesting but I think I’m going to have to stop on chapter 5 </3
