I feel like this manhwa is trying to be woke so bad by making ml fall in love with a mc that is “dirty” simply because of the place he grew up in…which is in that state because the fuckass politicians of ml’s country are evil but no ml isn’t gonna do shit about it because district 13 is just a red herring for this stupid repackaged Cinderella plot again and the people of district 13 don’t actually matter cause mc doesn’t know them so therefore they aren’t important.

I'm sorry, but are you stupid or just that naive? The reason no one is mentioning it is because most people are literally HERE for that kind of content. Did you not read the description? Or, hell, even the TITLE? Did you think a story about slavery was going to be a happy, romantic jaunt? Do you also watch horror movies and then, shocked, think 'why is no one talking about how someone died!?' The rape is the whole gd point ffs. You know how annoying it is to try and read this kind of content and then be inundated with comments from people who don't know how to moderate the content they choose to read and then go bitching at the people who are just here for a good time? Here we go again…so FIRST rape is something that is so easily normalized. The amount of rape in fictional plots is very alarming, even in sweet stories where the characters are very clearly meant to be wholesome and cutesy and lovey dovey have scenes where whichever one is being penetrated is screaming stop, wait, or some kind of variation of that. Next, rape seems to be one of those things that people easily excuse, so this very easily crosses the line from fiction to reality and end up victim blaming. I literally saw one of yall the other day complaining about how it should be annoying it was the one being penetrated wanted to stop, cause it ruined the mood…Also, your logic could go for you as well?? You could literally just ignore my comment and fuck off and keep reading your rape slop lmao. Why are you even reading comments, like what are you expecting? Like “omg that scene where ml humiliates mc and penetrates him forcefully even when he said no was so hot”?? Like No one gives a fuck whether or not you read it just because it's a part of the story. But if you treat rape as just another sexual fantasy between two men to satisfy your horniness, shouldn’t you expect to receive hate? It IS a really sensitive topic after all, so people complaining about it shouldn’t really faze you.

you complain about rape in fiction but don't give two shits about horror media where people are tortured and killed, same as games where you play as a character who kills people. some media is not for certain people and that is okay, but you should take this energy and put it towards real victims of this very real crime in real life, not towards drawings. however I can agree with you when you say the degree of it in media such as sweet stories is definitely off-putting and ruins the mood

I don’t complain about horror media or games where you kill people because I’m not involved in their fandoms lmao. I don’t know what goes on there, so how can I complain about it?? Also this is an illegal reading site, not really somewhere you discuss video games…so if I were to complain about them I wouldn’t do it here. And I do take this energy out it towards rape culture in real life, not just stories (imo stories like these are part of rape culture but I don’t think you’d agree). You know nothing about me or my life, so how can you assume what I do? And finally, rape is very different from crimes like murder and torture. It’s one of the only crimes where the perpetrator commits it for their own pleasure or satisfaction, without regard to the victim. (Some specific perpetrators of other crimes might also do it for their pleasure, but not as often as rapists). Also, I feel like it sort of perverts and distorts an act of love, an act of human social interaction that creates bonds. Allowing someone to engage in sexual activity with you is one of the most trusted things you can do, most of the time you have to have built up a high level of togetherness and understanding with the person (obviously not always). Last thing, 98% of rapists go free. It’s not like murder, or torture where you’re usually caught. I feel like it’s because our society doesn’t take rape as a crime seriously, despite its many detrimental impacts on victims. So I think it makes sense that a person is much more disgusted by rape than other crimes. And idk but treating a person’s trauma as a fetish seems a bit wrong. Just read mindfully I guess.
