Here we go again…so FIRST rape is something that is so easily normalized. The amount of rape in fictional plots is very alarming, even in sweet stories where the characters are very clearly meant to be wholesome and cutesy and lovey dovey have scenes where whichever one is being penetrated is screaming stop, wait, or some kind of variation of that. Next, rape seems to be one of those things that people easily excuse, so this very easily crosses the line from fiction to reality and end up victim blaming. I literally saw one of yall the other day complaining about how it should be annoying it was the one being penetrated wanted to stop, cause it ruined the mood…Also, your logic could go for you as well?? It’s one of the only crimes where the perpetrator commits it for their own pleasure or satisfaction, without regard to the victim. (Some specific perpetrators of other crimes might also do it for their pleasure, but not as often as rapists). Also, I feel like it sort of perverts and distorts an act of love, an act of human social interaction that creates bonds. Allowing someone to engage in sexual activity with you is one of the most trusted things you can do, most of the time you have to have built up a high level of togetherness and understanding with the person (obviously not always). Last thing, 98% of rapists go free. It’s not like murder, or torture where you’re usually caught. I feel like it’s because our society doesn’t take rape as a crime seriously, despite its many detrimental impacts on victims. So I think it makes sense that a person is much more disgusted by rape than other crimes. And idk but treating a person’s trauma as a fetish seems a bit wrong. Just read mindfully I guess.

Last chapter showed she's quite stupid if she thought the side effects of planting a dangerous artifact as fake "evidence", when it could lure demonic beasts into the palace, would be harmless. That's her 2nd potentially-lethal stupidity if we count the fact that she passed around alleged "weapon of massive destruction" sword like it was nothing. AND the enslaved people are people of color, who are depicted as having no manners, rude, brutish, etc…like maybe I’m crazy but this entire manhwa feels racist as fuck. And the fl doesn’t seem much better, we got a little bit in her thoughts about how she thought the practice of slavery was gross but we don’t see her doing shit about it. And then we saw her calling the fuckass uncle or wtv a “specimen” of the same race, and even brought up his “breeding”, implying that his culture is the reason he’s a prick. And then she ended up paying 1.5 billion anyways (albeit with the necklace thrown in), far more than the 500 million she was offered first. Like bruh. And how does the Kaluta tribe not notice the fact that hundreds, if not thousands of their people are disappearing into nowhere every year? And when they do inevitably notice, and discover the empire is behind it, how will the author write them to react? Will any compensation, if offered at all (or if it’ll just be brushed over as part of the plot) be enough for the crime of fucking trafficking hundreds of thousands of people for god knows how long? Also the fl lowkey pisses me off too, she’s annoying and the author wrote her as a Mary sue so everything is going right for her in this life. I think FL doesn't know the third prince be slave trader. I don't know how the author think, maybe he/she think we will think how cool of ML because he has mysterious secret side of him but when I first find out it made me disturbed honestly. And I think he sold mainly kingdom's people, people of color are so rarely.

Exactly as a prince and he’s supposed to be the better option compared to his brothers, it’s weird and down right wrong if you can fathom selling another human being and placing them in a cage i wouldn’t trust your moral judgment when it comes to ruling a country. And on top of that referring to people as barbarians and so on is so vulgar in itself just because their culture is not the same as your own. We see this soo often in manwha that it’s honestly become one of those things we just accept more times than not it’s always people of darker skin and they always look the same, just for them to be treated horribly throughout.

Hm... I do agree is iffy... but honestly I think there's a lot more to do with the setting being a historical fantasy than author being racist. Especially because there wasn't only tan people being sold. I'm not saying is ok or good or whatever, I'm saying it isn't completely historically inaccurate the same way a lot of martial arts comics have some points in common with eastern history. I get we as readers being uncomfortable with slave trading settings... but I'd like to remind you guys that the mc is not a modern day person reincarnated there... she is a regressor who lived in that setting from the beginning.
About ml... I was honestly surprised he was involved with it... mainly because I'm used to ml's being the good guy and even when they are the villain they are just... good guys persecuted and misunderstood... so I was shocked with ml real personality and actions... and now I'm curious about what actually happened in 1st timeline and how their story will develop. Since the novel jumps back and forth between the present and the past, the chapters are a mixed up. So, if anyone wants to read the ml being a pathetic doormat for mc, the chapters are 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and the rest of the odd ones I think, until all of it reaches the present.
