Eh, it's messed up that she has to choose, but when she does, a newborn should always be the priority, IMO. Once they're born, priority, period. Cause without their mom they're way too asbolutely defenseless, whereas old people still have at least some of their leftover skills from their life already lived up to that point. No one should be sacrificed, but newborns NEED their mom.
Would newborns necessarily need their moms after the birth tho? Of course it would be preferable and I get what you mean but there would definitely be other people available for the baby (father, wet nurse, and maids), and as we can see he’s survived even though she left. But im sure she viewed it as a transaction not really the warm motherly way of wanting to give birth to a child. She thought HAD to in order to go home, so I can’t really fault her.
I get that too but once again, during these times didn’t nobles also use alternatives like animal milk and wet nurses? I thought during these times biological parents (nobles) did not directly raise their kids which is why we see so many stories of children constantly raised by their maids/nannies/governesses?
Perhaps, but she's forcing them to use this alternative (they're not choosing it on their own) and she's a modern person with modern values. Moreover, she already loves her husband enough to get jealous over the idea of him finding someone else to replace her, so no, it's NOT merely a transcation for her, anymore. I don't blame her, but I'm sad she had to betray her own heart.
She also already dreams of seeing her baby grow up... ugh. Moreover, every grandma I know would fall so rabidly inlove with their grandchild, they'd immediately compel their adult son/daughter to make that baby a priority. That's why I believe she's not being fair to her mother (her mom wouldn't ask her to abandon her baby, if she thought her own daughter was "happy"... I think the FL is actually feeling guilt for being happy while her mother is dying without even knowing what became of her missing 19 year old daughter. But that's not the same as her mother outright blaming her)
What is the princess's deal, it's like she's obsessed with her... As for the duke, gosh, calm the heck down, you're coming on way too strong. And don't pretend it's not like that. Everyone and their dog can see it. (Undeniable power imbalance but for all of the mc's resourcefulness I'm not sure we can expect that to turn around at the speed of light and without some fight, if it turns out the whole system of their society is oppressive like that: going by how even a privileged woman like the ML's mom was in the end powerless... I mean, it's hard for me not to expect that her freeing herself will inevitably take some real effort for sure... even if I have all faith in her. Seems like the times won't make it easy.)
Johan really going through with this thing about living without magic? Er... but, it's hard to think that wise, every time I remember it was him having magic that even allowed him to survive in the first place, by allowing him to get sent away, and out of reach of his stepmother, and how it was him having magic that allowed him to defend himself after he returned home...
Jeez, girl... If you're SO DEEP in doubt, just pour that holy water over her (the red head OR the white head). Neither of them will burn. ...But who cares if the white head is not the original? You know she didn't hurt the original owner (she appeared long after they'd already been dead and gone) and she's doing good deeds left and right?? ...I swear your sister's the one who got all the brains in the family... ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
fr though i believe it’s pretty hard for her to make decisions too especially if her sister’s existence will be at risk and she’s in denial that the sister she deeply loved is possessed by someone else. Though I think Daisy misunderstood because she saw a scar on Kanna’s neck but looking at it it’s not really a full scar like it’s been cutoff.. It’s literally the scar from the knife that once grazed her neck but who knows what kind of plot twist might happen since demon worshippers are literally everywhere and idek why fml
I don’t think she would care less about evangeline since she was hired after the possession and already knew nothing was right in that mansion, only working for money and that holy water. However, it’s different for her sister since she did everything for her her whole life and now that she thought her sister was healed, the sis became obsessed with a “monster” acting human and finds out her sis might not even be human herself anymore. Her sis should also be like pudding and jelly in which holy water would actually work and kill her so i think she would rather act dumb and see her sister alive and well than acknowledge it’s not her anymore and kill her ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
It's the hesitation that gets me. At the end of it it's just her own selfish fear of being alone overcoming her loyalty towards her sister: if her sister's been replaced, then she should definitely avenge her, not play house with her body's thief. Especially when she knows she's already living around one body snatcher, her lady boss, so now she'll accept yet another one, just to avoid loneliness? How many of the people around her will she let be replaced, till she decides it's enough? Especially when she knows if she's mistaken and it turns out that's really her sis, the sis still won't suffer any harm, by being put it to this test. I'm just saying, make up your mind, gurl.........

"You will forever doubt me, and forever obsess over me. Ah, this is it. What we've been looking for"... a.k.a.: "stay forever mad so that you'll stay forever obsessed with *me* only" So is that why she doesn't say anything? Then she's absolutely deranged too, I think... guys. Our pity might be misplaced. Told you kid's the only one deserving of it.
