I kinda feel it too actually, in the early chapters said that he proposed to gisela out of impulse, so the same with him dating gisela right after the mc dated a stewardress on a flight. So it feels like, jei wants to proof that he's straight because the mc was doing so

Yes, but... even if Berry and Insel are allied countries, this is the first time I hear about the royals of a country giving up their kingdom for the sake of the princess of *another country*... Nicola is of a completely different country from theirs (she's from the kingdom of Berry, while the king and princes are rulers of the Inse/Ins/Insel/whatever kingdom). She's not even bethrothed to one of them, or is she?
Ince is very close to Berry, that's how they (the princes and Ice's nobility) know Nicola, they're not trading the country for her but having her as a hostage means they have an advantage in negotiations, since Ince is hostile to Chariot.

Yep, but the same prophecy that induced Kronos to do that was later also given to Zeus. Unlike Kronos, Zeus found another way and "effectively" avoided it (though the way he did it kinda stinks... I'd like to think his wife at least "fused" with him and the two became one single being, a wiser one, since his wise was goddess of wisdom)

Zeus IS a major god: once he overthrew his own father and became king of all Greek gods, he became the supreme god not only in Greece, but also in Macedonia, and then even in the Roman Empire... (as Jupiter). You can see what a big deal he was once you hear even Alexander the Great tried to justify his world conquering by claiming he was Zeus' son: by that logic, he seemed to claim he deserved to rule the world because his dad was king of gods.

I mean, maybe this is when he still hasn't defeated his father, but he already knows that once he does defeat him, he'll end up with the same prophecy of a son of his also defeating himself, in turn, in the future? (IIRC Zeus was actually the third one to receive it: his father Kronos being the 2nd, and his grandpa Ouranus being the first). So maybe this Zeus IS already aware of this repetitive, never-ending cycle, and wants to know how to defeat his father Kronos WITHOUT ending up falling prey to it, also, himself...

Back to topic: another possibility is if he's a *future* major god: someone who'll be big in the future, but still isn't, right now. In Zeus's case, that would be him from the time he still hadn't defeated Kronos... bUT I admit he might not be the only one who fits the description: "someone powerful but not yet the big boss, with foretold problems in his future... enough to have induced him to come to Egypt in search of allies and mystic counsil"

I wonder if he even knows that she was murdered or if he actually believed the suicide story. If he thinks that she actually committed suicide I can see how he can turn out this way. If his sister was suffering so much that she felt she had no other choice but to take her own life I can see how he wouldn't want that pain for any other young girls and the way he kills them is pretty humane as far as murder goes. I'm pretty sure most people wish that they would go in their sleep anyways. His actions are him trying to make up for the fact that he couldn't save his sister but he's just doing it in the worst way. There so many other things he could do to help those girls.
Though in my opinion driving someone to suicide is just as bad as murder, so the adoptive family would be an object of my revenge anyways even if I bought the suicide story. That family and the families of all the other girls needs some form of punishment. But then again, this dude obviously has a few screws loose and might not be thinking his actions through fully. Grief can do crazy things to people, but it doesn't justify his actions at all.
