He did but it was to help him in a way. Not the right way. Dane's way is better. It's harder though.
His parents had a reason for that though. All the kids are born a little off. Chase was the only normal one he was very empathic kid. But his siblings and parents didn't respond to that gentleness correctly. So he got warped as well mentally.

I mean it depends on the worldbuilding. I think it's entirely possible he could get women pregnant (unless it was established otherwise before and i forgot)
Honestly, it depends on what the author portrays. Some ABO verse can only reproduce via the normal male-female pairing (this is regardless of secondary gender, so an offspring from alpha male and beta female or beta male and beta female and such pairings is possible) or alpha-omega pairings (strictly alpha-beta or omega-beta of same primary gender won't be able to produce an offspring of their own). While some also make it possible anyway.
It just all depends on how the author goes around with it.
