This is mid, sure the plot is ok and the art is perfect but the way this story was told was terrible. It was so faced paced that I had no time to even feel anything for the characters. Like when her brothers were killed I didn’t feel anything not even satisfaction, I had no time to even hate them it mostly felt like they were side characters in the whole story even at the end, or how the water spirit almost died I didn’t even cry (and I cry very easily) instead all I was thinking was how boring this scene is and wanted to skip it. The story has terrible pacing it it sucks cause you can see what the author was trying to tell when making this but it genuinely sucks, if I can’t even get attached to ANY of the characters and I get attached pretty fast then there’s a really big problem. This is a good read for a beginner but you kinda have to turn off your brain to even enjoy it.
For an adult who was raised as an assassin, she’s pretty fucking dumb. Like in all honesty wtf is she even doing?? Like she’s supposed to be this cool, mysterious, cold assassin and yet she acts like an headless chicken half of the time. Like girl you’re an adult who has killed people in the past, DO SOMETHING OTHER THAN JUST TAKE THE ABUSE!!!! UUUHHHHHHH!!!! She’s REALLY fucking stupid to me it’s so god damn annoying!!!
