This might be a bit unpopular but I think it has to be said.

I was shocked but not really saddened by it. The details of the abuse by him from his then pregnant girlfriend are horrific. He was not a good guy, or, at the least, very troubled. Though, I I don't think he deserved to die. He needed to be brought to justice the right way

At least in this one, the victim doesn't end up with their abuser (well yet, it's still ongoing).

No matter what reason, I can't take it when the victims end up with their abusers.

They aren't the greatest to read, but in real life people do stay and return to abusive relationships. I think maybe "Unfather" "Easy Target" and "Escape into Oblivion" maybe show the mental exhaustion and dependency of both characters at the end, meaning they both are essentially trapped in this misery. It is "nicer" though to read stories where both characters are able to have the insight and strength to just end a toxic relationship, I think maybe "Sabita Yoru Demo Koi Wa Sasayaku" is the only one that has shown this though.
