The author built their relationship up so beautifully, giving them depth, layers, and so much emotional weight, only to rush their conclusion right when things were reaching their peak (/TДT)/ Their story was honestly cut short at the exact moment when it had the most potential to develop into something even greater, and after that, we only got little glimpses of them. How unfair to AkiHaru fans, I’m sobbing T^T

I'm absolutely heartbroken for Pilsang.
Not only did he cry again because of Jooeon, but he had actually decided he was going to tell him everything: about the fake heats, about his hyung knowing he was involved in the company's research and that he was planning to withdraw from it all. What broke my heart was that he looked so sad at the thought of leaving because it meant he wouldn't get to see Jooeon anymore...
I'm sobbing...｡°(°¯◠¯°)°｡He's just too precious...

Also, it seems Jooeon didn't go back to the project because of the scandal, it was because of an equipment issue. My guess is that the media had the scandal story ready to go during the following week, but they probably contacted the family before publishing it (like they often do with celebrities and other high-profile figures). Then either Jooeon's family or Seo Ah's side must have negotiated a deal to keep the story under wraps in exchange for an exclusive announcement, aka the wedding.
That said, I'm so MAD at Jooeon for ghosting Pilsang for an entire week. He knows perfectly well how much Pilsang loves him, yet he keeps acting like such a jerk !
The last time they saw each other, things ended on such a cold note, so going completely silent without contacting him the entire time only fuels Pilsang's insecurities and reinforces his belief that he's unlovable and that he did something wrong when he didn't !! It's honestly so cruel !
And then, just for Pilsang to find out about the wedding through the news ?!
Seeing him run through the rain just to get an explanation... I already know that's a bad omen for the next chapter. He's literally showing up soaking wet like a drenched kitten, only to find Seo Ah there and overhear her talking about the loan shark scandal and his involvement in Jooeon's research. Whatever happens next, I just know Pilsang is going to suffer and cry even more, and I am NOT ready for it T^T
As for the person responsible for the scandal leak, I’m wondering if it’s the friend or the hyung behind it. There wasn't any mention of Jooeon's "game" with Pilsang in the articles, which makes me wonder if it could somehow be the hyung instead. Then again, I don't really see what he'd gain from exposing everything this early on, so I'm still leaning toward the friend. Either way, I have a feeling Pilsang is going to assume his hyung is responsible, blame himself even more, and drown in guilt... when it's actually not his fault at all ╥﹏╥
Finally, not having Jooeon’s POV at all makes this cliffhanger about his feelings even more intense, since we’re left completely in the dark about what’s going on in his head !!
But I have a feeling we still won’t get his perspective in the next chapter either. Instead, things are probably going to get even messier, and he’ll put on that cold business persona again, say something harsh while confronting Pilsang, and end up hurting him even more... Help !!

Now, my theory about what’s gonna happen next : While they’d be basking in the afterglow of their sexy session, they’ll finally start opening up a little about their feelings, but then they won’t get the chance to really talk things through, as they’ll be interrupted since Jooeon would get contacted by work and be told about the information leak (from his ex-friend) and the media scandal it caused.
And since he was supposed to be present at the opening of their project around this time, the scandal will already be making noise, and people will start asking where the chairman actually is ! Which would make things worse as he is with —and taking care of—the very same person the scandal is about, so it will only stir things up even more !!
Especially with his parents, I guess... They’ll start questioning whether he’s truly worthy of inheriting the company. And since they already expect him to marry Seo Ah for the sake of the merger, the idea that he might be involved with someone else would likely push them to rush the arranged marriage even more !
And all of this happening right when Jooeon and Pilsang were finally on the verge of being honest with each other would definitely disrupt the development of their relationship, and then maybe trigger the runaway arc ?!
Knowing how business-like and cold Jooeon can be, I feel like he might end up messing up things by prioritizing his position and putting the company above Pilsang... ╥﹏╥

It's honestly a miracle Rian hasn't ended up ble*ding from his behind by now. Every time Enzo went inside him, he knew full well that Rian had never been on the receiving end before, yet he still never bothered to prepare him properly beforehand before shoving it in. Because, let's be real, lube alone ain't some magical fix, you can't just slap some on and expect everything to go smoothly.
And considering how ridiculously tight Rian is—his ring practically looks permanently puckered and clenched— it's genuinely baffling that he never tore or bled...At this point, it's pure luck.
Poor Adrian ma boy ! Hang in there princess, and make sure you get your revenge on that rotten apple, and then some, because he deserves every bit of what’s coming to him !!
That aside, I hope we move on from the grape in the next chapter because this has been dragging on, it's starting to feel suffocating, and we're losing the plot—as well as the top-vs-top rivalry that a lot of us were hooked by in the first place.

Damn, he's getting bold now ! I’m convinced that the more time passes, the more he realizes he'll never truly have Jooeon all to himself, so he's become so much more "yearning" for him, trying to make the most of every little opportunity he gets.
And it's both adorable and heartbreaking how being cared for while he was sick —for the first time in his life— and having that person be Jooeon seemed to heal a part of his inner child ╥﹏╥.
I honestly think his love for Jooeon just keeps growing deeper and deeper, and now he's completely starved for his affection...aah poor baby.
As for the spicy scene, I highly doubt it was included for no reason. We already had one not that long ago, so I'm sure this one is meant to serve the plot somehow !! Jooeon holding Pilsang after he got hurt might make him realize just how much he wants to be gentle with him and how deeply he actually treasures him !
It could also make him start questioning the regularity of the heats —which, let's not forget, have all been fake since Pilsang's last real heat back in chapter 18— and that could easily become the catalyst that kicks off the runway arc and all the chaos and drama that come with it.
Ugh, I love them so much. I swear, I need them to kiss already ! Please, just do it next chapter, I'M BEGGING !

I don't think people are misunderstanding what the story is about, though. Most of us knew from chapter 1 that this wasn't going to be a healthy romance. A guy biting someone's tongue off isn't exactly subtle foreshadowing...
The criticism isn't that the story is dark or problematic. It's that being dark and problematic doesn't automatically make something interesting or "well-executed". You can portray obsession, coercion, and abuse while still developing a unique dynamic between the characters.
It's also obvious the author isn't romanticizing a lot of these moments and wants them to feel disturbing. The issue is that after the strong setup, the relationship started feeling less unique and more reliant on tropes that are already very common in BL with the huge power imbalance and all, plus the focus shifting from exploring the psychological tension and complexity of their relationship toward using escalation and shock as the only way to move the dynamic forward, at the expense of deeper exploration.
Basically, understanding what the story is trying to do and thinking it executes it well are two different things. Just because a story is dark, disturbing, or intentionally uncomfortable doesn't automatically make it compelling. And people criticizing how the story chooses to portray those themes, or feeling that the story didn't fully deliver on the potential of its premise, aren't necessarily misunderstanding it— we may simply think the execution didn't live up to the premise.
