I hope I got it wrong! Is waka the villain here? I really like her im in the mid chapter 20s and i really wanted to root for her and hate obikawa(for now cuz it seems everyone is rooting for him?is he a good guy? Why did he try to eat everyone then?) can someone spoil this for me cuz I really hate it when the character I like turns out to be a villain(ahem eren im looking at you) or atleast someone I canât root for anymore⌠it breaks my heart more than reading a manga i like and realising that its abandoned and left unfinished
Yeah so basically put everything thatâs happening right now like the whole âgodâ and everything is wakaâs fault. Sheâs a witch who made a deal with the âdevilâ reincarnating countless times just to date and be loved by Tokinaga. But the âdevilâ turns things around to grant wakaâs wish by making tokinaga the one who time travels to the past. Later in the chapters you can see Tokinaga âreverting timeâ itâs related to his ability granted by Nisroca the devil. Uh also the ipos are the doing of Nisroca trying to tie waka and tokinaga. Obikawa is the one who is helping Tokinaga by try killing Waka
Rather than making obikawa unlikable i think the author wants to show us that he is not human and he will not think like one. The story progression give more and more humanity to him (chara development if you will) while slowly showing us whats wrong with waka. I love both waka and obikawa so i still have hope for both of them to get suitable conclusions
Also to add to what everyone said, I don't consider chapter20-waka as the same person as evil-waka. She kinda has multiple personalities. So it's not like the current waka you're liking is gonna turn evil, because they're basically two different people in the same body.
Ppl still love nice waka and want her back !!
I like the ending. With the way it was going it wouldâve lost steam if it didnât end here⌠I wish Lua/Rua suffered a bit more before death like maybe realize that what she did was wrong and or beg for herself i guess that wouldnât have started the killing spree of Mina⌠or maybe if Rua survived or if she gained superpowers that wouldâve made this longer and more jucier. I like this ending tho. Ive never fully agreed with Minas way of doing things throughout the manhwa but this is a good ending. Hope the author comes up with another story just as brilliant but longer

I cannot believe you still have empathy left for your mother after all the things (you think?) she did like orchestrating your brothers death, killing your (best) friend, being a accomplice(more like coercing the person involved to commit a crime) in an accident that leads to permanent injury, killing her own best friend(not sure if you know tho) and despite suspecting all this you think your father just disappeared and you think your mother wasnât involved? Like make it make sense the minute you thought she killed your brother you should have suspected she had something to do with your fatherâs disappearance
I know you were young and didnât want to think about uncomfortable things and your father is a sore point he wasnât exactly an ideal father but come on this writing doesnât feel natural it feels formulaic
Idk I feel like itâs believable her mums been grooming her to believe all sorts of things since she was young. She has that repulsion to the subject because her mum actively worked to make her not want to question it to âsave her mums feelingsâ. This was all implanted before her brothers death. I donât remember the time line but I know she was 12 when her brother died so she couldâve been even younger when her mum was doing this.
I think with her brothers death itâs all she could focus on, and then it was just one shit show after the other. I donât know but I feel like I wouldnât have been able to spend mental energy wondering what happened to an absent father.
((I agree though it feels weird she would believe her mums tears)) but it also seems she has no clue about her parents actual relationship due to all the time she was forced to be separated from them in America. And when she was in Korea her dad was barely home and she already felt alienated towards him.
you can't be serious. she was literally groomed to "trust" her mother despite the fact that she has a screw loose. also, despite her mom being a "psychopath," she did take care of them at some point in their lives.
just because her mom is a big fat murdere doesn't erase the fact that she remembers how her mother somehow took care of them. her mother didn't entirely love them, but why the fuck didn't she abandon them?
her mother was surprisingly a hands-on "mom." she hated the brother because he was somewhat of a "burden," yet she still raised him herself without relying on any maids. despite being a psychopath, she still cared about sooyin's existence, teaching him how to properly clean himself and supporting him financially. she was the financially capable type of parent who could give anything to her child, yet somehow she's a fucking psychopath.
you can't just say that it doesn't make any sense how she's leaning towards her mother's crooked tears (couldn't care less if it was crooked or not), because she did love her after all âbefore she knew she was a killer. she was her mother before she realized she was a killer.
Did you read the title properly? It literally says so on the name. Maybe read an article about the discussions on nature vs nurture. Just because you don't understand the empathy doesn't mean it's plausible or it doesn't make sense, from where i stand it makes perfect sense. Have you ever been a victim of intense manipulation? This is exactly what that is.
People saying they donât want an open ending doesnât mean they believe its an open ending its them saying out loud about what they donât want because if you didnât notice the first play in the manhwa was a literal play by play of their situationship. the author has already used a play to parallel their relationship and hence everyone commenting about open ending hoping that isnât the case not that they believe its the end alreadyâŚ
According to the authors twitter/x post Itâs updated every 10th, 20th and last day of the month⌠now coming to the story ive reread this atleast 3 times its got everything i like the art, chemistry between the leads and a bit of obsession idk why some people hate this but defend codename anastasia so much dont get me wrong i like toxic shit and i read ca too but this one got a lot more flack than ca did before these new chapters just an observation
