We’re so used to being presented with a "bottom" and a "top" who look completely different from each other—just to clearly signal what their roles in the relationship will be—but I really like that this difference is barely emphasized here.
The problem isn't the lack of an explicit confession—his feelings are already obvious. It’s just that Sangho is trying to read too much into Younghwa’s words, because he isn’t used to Younghwa’s direct way of communicating; it’s as simple as that.

Having difficulty relating to others doesn’t make you an antisocial person. Pyeonghwa is simply someone who doesn’t tie himself to anyone—unless he feels a direct emotional connection to that person.
Pyeonghwa acts like a cat: distant, independent, curious, reserved, and spontaneous, yet friendly at the same time. Much like a cat, he behaves the same way toward any stranger he hasn’t formed a connection with. In fact, the very title of the manhwa tells you exactly what kind of dynamic will unfold between the two, as Pyeonghwa is a cat who has chosen the specific person upon whom to bestow his curiosity and affection.
It is easy to misinterpret Pyeongha when people hold a narrow view of how an autistic person should behave.
I have noticed that the most common archetype in fiction is the “robot”—a character who is considered adorable because they speak their mind, are highly “naive,” fail to grasp sarcasm, and cannot tolerate eye contact; yet, they remain verbal, as a non-speaking character is often deemed “aesthetically” unappealing.
It’s often made to seem as though autistic people don’t know how to blend into society, when the exact opposite is true: autistic people are experts at "masking"—a deliberate behavior where you speak and act in a certain way because you know that’s what others expect of you. Not all autistic people engage in masking, but a vast number of them do—especially autistic women.
It is frustrating to see how this new generation of readers has grown accustomed to a direct and explicit style of storytelling—to the point where they no longer know how to read between the lines. It is perfectly clear that the two characters like each other; their body language and expressions make that abundantly obvious. This manhwa is very well written, so I don’t understand why some find it confusing—the plot is quite straightforward.
Many manhwas have conditioned readers to expect a hollow form of storytelling; a major drawback is that they leave no room for interpretation, relying instead on an excess of explicit, redundant dialogue that fails to evoke any real passion. Rather, these moments feel like mere confessions—devices used solely to bring the protagonists together, without any sense of genuine chemistry between them.

It’s a blessing whenever a scanlation group decides to translate a manga. They’re translating fewer and fewer mangas, which is a real shame because there’s such an immense variety out there. Manhwa is increasingly being prioritized while manga is undervalued; this new generation of readers knows nothing beyond *Jinx* and other popular manhwas—all of which end up looking exactly the same.
You should read the novel. The animated short and the manhwa make much more sense when you know the context of their time in high school, which makes their reunion all the more meaningful.
Please, Nodeok I’m begging you—in the next episode, let Baek-hee and Yang Il-woo have their first intimate moment! At this point, even a kiss on the cheek would feel incredibly erotic.

In terms of narrative, this chapter is wonderfully illustrated; the absence of dialogue does not diminish its impact in the slightest. Every expression is rendered with such clear intent that the characters' emotions are laid bare—raw and intense—making their loneliness so palpable that it is impossible not to be moved.
It is a delight to read a BL story that is so carefully written and meticulously planned. Nodeok is fantastic at crafting dramatic characters; their emotions feel so immediate and real that one cannot help but empathize with the misery and loneliness that have taken such deep root in both of their souls.
At a moment when both were on the verge of giving up on their lives, they found in each other a reason to keep living.
Yang Il-woo burst into Bek-hee’s life like a storm, unleashing chaos—a rebellious, outspoken man of few words whose true intentions remain unclear. Yet, amidst this turmoil, Bek-hee finds peace; he discovers a home in Yang Il-woo—someone who introduces him to new emotions and counters his past experiences with kindness and affection. He finds someone who understands him, treats him as an equal, and soothes his loneliness. Two people, meeting in the midst of a storm, find a home in one another.

What a meaningful confession of love! I adore manga because, in just a few chapters, the authors manage to create such a tangible landscape of genuine, long-lasting emotions—filled with commitment, affection, and a mutual longing. I thought this ending might leave me feeling like there should have been more, but I was left completely satisfied by this resolution to their feelings.
Man, this tae-kyung is so simple. His personality is so predictable that it’s just pathetic. I love these pathetic tops, haha.
It is truly disheartening how, in the end, people often turn against the victim. Bekhee is labeled “insufferable,” “spineless,” “weak,” “cowardly,” and someone who “lets himself be abused.” How can you judge the victim before the perpetrator?
His life has been a series of catastrophes from the day he was born; he is so accustomed to prioritizing his survival over his own well-being that he doesn’t know how to live without being in survival mode all the time. Just when someone finally comes along who helps him discover another side of himself—someone who introduces him to new emotions and contrasts his past experiences with gentle, affectionate treatment—that person is snatched away from him, accompanied by a threat that he will be destroyed if he continues to reciprocate Yang Il-woo’s feelings. It is sad to sense that very palpable loneliness that they carry with them all the time.
What I don’t like about manhwas is that most of them fail to generate sexual tension, as they focus primarily on advancing the characters' relationship through sex. There’s no exchange of ideas—no exploration of how their differences might coexist rather than act as an obstacle to their relationship. There’s a lack of moments where chemistry exists outside of the act of having sex; it makes it difficult to grasp the "genuine" love they profess for one another, leaving it feeling hollow.
What the hell is going to happen on December 7th? And what’s going to happen with Il-woo when he finds out that his father’s killer might actually be Baek-hee’s dad?
I’ve been obsessing over this damn chapter since yesterday; I know things are going to go into an emotional nosedive, but I just can’t stop reading—Nodeok’s writing is so damn addictive.

It is interesting how, in earlier chapters, Jaeyi’s brother encouraged Ideum to accept his scar as a symbol of worth and proof of who he is now, yet now subtly suggests he cover it up. That shows he doesn't really feel what he's saying; he's just using convenient words to move people and draw them into his camp.
The story is about self-discovery and accepting our vulnerabilities—even those that have caused us pain—because they also make us strong; Ideum had been hiding behind that scar his whole life, and meeting Yaeji gave him the courage to experience the world beyond his isolation. That is why Jaeyi reacted the way he did: he is protecting Ideum. To him, the scar isn't a blemish—why should it be hidden when he constantly covers it with kisses and sees it as a window into Ideum's soul?
STOP CRITICIZING BEKHEE. You fail to realize that he is using the money as a pretext to protect Yang Il-woo—and, by extension, himself as well. Bekhee is a person who has been traumatized and violated by the constant abuse and manipulation he suffered at the hands of his father, and now, Gyeom. It is understandable that he feels vulnerable and conditioned; he is someone who places so little value on his own autonomy and well-being, prioritizing his survival above all else.
