Now I want the memories of the stepfather.
Why did he pay Muyeon's mom to act like "family"? What did he get out if it?
Also, I bet the stepdad is having a grand time of being a demi drake and killing all these fuckers who made his life miserable when he was alive.
I need more memories now~
I am not misunderstanding.
I am simply referencing that IF the stepdad's conscious is alive, he would probably enjoy seeing the rumination of those who tormented him. In fact, he might have welcomed the demi drake into his body for revenge if he was indeed dying.
The drake says the stepfather is dead, but we have no solid proof of that.
And I really would like to see more things from his prospective. The memories are really interesting, as I've pointed out before.
Why would he "buy" a family, especially if he hated them? I want more information.
The father had desires for Muyeon's mother since she made him feel like a man worthy of love while his work was dehumanizing him and his masculinity. That's why he would get mad at Muyeon when he would come because he wanted more time with the mom, since he knew his time was limited and would have go back to that shithell of work.
The shaman does deserve to die for hurting Zaza, but I couldn't give a fuck about Loki's dad.
Being a slave trader is terrible. There is no such thing as a "good" slave owner/trader, etc. His dad 100% deserved to die. If he had really cared for those people, he would have freed them. So I have no sympathy.
I'm guessing MC was originally a god of life and used to roam around helping people/growing things, which is why he abhors the blood games/sacrifices that Amon likes.
I think Amon grew to desire the MC and brainwashed him, or erased his memory or something, and then built, or took, the MC to this kingdom to keep the MC for himself. Which is why the MC has all these contradictory feelings for him.
And now the pink haired guy (Gwen?) is another immortal from the north coming down to see wtf is going on because ever since the MC had disappeared from their godly duties, there's a lot of bad shit happening, or maybe they're there to kill Amon? And he and MC end up falling fir each other and our MC ends up remembering everything and escaping.
Of course then Amon pursues, fights happen, etc.
I also think that the MC eating human food either shows his godhood being closer to humanity, or helps keep him brainwashed. Amon might actually be sucking out his "energy/divinity" from him every time they copulate, giving him our MC's Devine powers and Amon is actually the human one?
Will be interesting to see what happens.
Why did the sister suddenly show up? She had no reason to check in.
Meirin hadn't gone outside and no news of how well she was being treated had spread, so the sister should have been at home, laughing at how miserable her sister probably was.
If they want to use this trope, at least make it believable and put some effort into it.
I'll let this marinate and then come back to see if the writing has improved later.
I feel like the story has no conscept or understanding of its of destinations and distances because how'd Sherin get there so fast? With no servants or aids? Did she just show up uninvited? That's considered rude. Where was Sherin staying/living in when she was there? How'd she get here so fast and soon after the wedding because at most it was 2 weeks or a month after the wedding cause they say Koumei is gone for a month. How far are the xian and Koumei houses from each other because I think we're at Koumei's house but why is Hao here? Are these two places really that close?
Surprised the empress isn't trying to get her son married to Tia, the obviously beloved granddaughter of the current head of Lombardi and daughter of the maybe heir.
That would be a good plot point.
I'm guessing Lorraine will run away with her little lord and live happily in the East. She deserves it after having parents like that.
This upcoming engagement of Tia and Perez is just a ploy for the empress and it was after "Lorraine and Astana's failed engagement". It was announced in a banquet which is obviously quiet far from the recent chapter.
Perez is just one of the heirs rn, so he can't make any law. That law was made when he became the emperor, which is at the end.

"I ate it" is such a real rich person thing to do
Like the mummies.
"Omg, here is the archeological find of the century! The culture! The technique! The knowledge!"
Or endangered animals.
"It's the last of its kind! So rare. So beautiful!"
Rich people, "Imma eat it."
OH? WITH WHAT.
Back in the victorian ages, extreme rich people ate mummies as they believed for some reason it would grant you more health, fun fact that's the reason there's not a lot of Egyptian mummies around :(
That is SO disgusting
Yeah they probably got sick after eating a literal cucumbered human, but it was super famous back then
