Like I understand wanting to hear from your husband that he loves you and all but you acknowledge that he does love you, cares for you but because he can't verbalize it in a way YOU like and want YOU get up in your feelings and find that be a plausible reason for neglecting your kids?
She does not deserve to have a good relationship with the mc because she obviously isn't a good person at all
She is like a "I can fix him" kinda girl or one of those white girl saviors
She isn't valid in her feelings to a point but all that shit goes out the window when you harp on and on about wanting a divorce but act like you can still have sway in the household just because you haven't been divorced yet
It seems like she's taking advantage of he poor guy at this point he's just autistic
Thank GOD she didn't go the "you're my boyfriend" route, it would've made me instantly drop this story if the reincarnation of the MC's friend's child was a love interest

They might try and use some succubus awakening shit to force a relationship between them

I understand Astrid to a point but treating the kids the way she's treating them is just wrong it's the same excuse abusive parents use when abusing their kids "you're just like you father" she isn't physically hurting them
(asides from that one time with Tan.. poor Tan)
But she is emotionally hurting her kids especially given the fact she seems to understand kids needs care and a soft hand with her she treats the mc
I don't hate Astrid as a character but if I were her friend I'd most definitely try and get her head on straight for her kids at least

Personally I think she fits in with the damn family to a T with how brash she is just like the grandfather
I understand she was pressed for time but the way she pushed her kid, the way she talks about her family and stuff it rubs me the wrong way, I get being worried for the kid but my guy, 2 of the 4 people you talking about being so bad in that family are like.. YOUR KIDS?
It'd be another story if she was specifically referring to the adults in the house because she does make a point to mention her own maid who she likes
Before I thought it was a translation issue (it might still be I'm not 100% sure)
My thoughts on Astrid is that she has no right to talk about the family she doesn't wanna be apart of anymore like they are the odd ones out when she is just as rash and as tunnel visioned as they are, infact she fits right in with them.
Also a little more to add for the story overall, that curse that hides the Duke's family's emotions or makes it hard for them to identify it, does it rub off at some point because the previous Duke seems.. well aware of his wants, just really stubborn and headstrong?
The only person in the story who acts like they don't have emotions or can't feel em is the Duke himself?
I could just not understand the explanation given before fully over how the curse doesn't actually remove their emotions
