Can someone please explain about that ritual? What are they doing to Shah Nain, that makes him drowsy for days and the guards have to cover their mouths! Plus that bad feeling he got with the snake ornaments and that dream he had about being swallowed by a large snake and him feeling sadness and weeping. Thanks!
SPOILER!! (about the ritual)
Nain is actually very depressed so they often do the ritual on him sort of like a reset for all his memories and emotions. In the ritual, they heavily drug nain. Amon doesn’t really understand nain’s emotions so he has this ritual done to make nain ‘feel better’ and to make him forget about his past.
MAJOR SPOILER!! (about the snake swallowing thing)
Nain was mortal once (the guy from 500 years ago) and amon devoured him to make him immortal. he was sacrificed, the priests drank his blood and amon literally ate him (thus why amon says he could only taste the most delicious thing once). nain would have dreams of his previous life and more frequent nightmares about when he was sacrificed. because of the ritual, he forgets about it periodically but it couldn’t really shake the fear off of him.
Sorry, guys! I really need some help and understanding this chapter… Sorry, sorry sorry! I’m just really confused with what I just read and I read it twice… I guess cause a lot of time has gone by from one chapter to another, and I read other stuff in between… This just got really confusing please if someone could explain what is going on with Nain… Why is he so angry and I guess disappointed… And this whole situation with Rue Now becoming a Leshah… We’re gonna say I’m so confused. I don’t know what’s going on… Please take pity on me and help me… Someone please explain… Thank you
Nain is disappointed because Amon and the High Priest are erasing his memories with incense and it happened when he was resting at his tent in the hunting grounds when he came out and forgot about parrots or made it seem like he forgot about them his closest servants lied to him about them because they know that they're erasing his memories on purpose so he's more obedient. Rue realised that he actually remembered and knows that they lied to him when he rewarded gwen. I think that Rue becoming a leshah is because he couldn't endure serving Nain like this and I think he will have more things he can do to help Nain, but I'm not 100% sure abt this. Correct me if I'm wrong (=・ω・=)
except Rue, I think, thinks that becoming a Lesha he showed his most devotion and loyalty since they also are said to serve in the afterlife. It's the belief thing that is messing with him :/ thinking being a Lesha is better than just serving Nain like usual.
Omg thank you I was confused too
yeah, that actually makes more sense ty!
