Imagine a person you never met through before looking at you like you're the devil and throwing their coat at your face. I almost dropped this because I thought this was going to be another story about an abused FL slowly winning the heart of her trash fiance/husband but I'm pleased with the direction this has taken.
The maid is so refreshing. I'm so glad there is someone there that actually continuously points out how poorly MC was treated and doesn't just let the couple fall in love like nothing ever happened.

The latest chapter got me. It was so beautifully written that I had to read it twice, and i'm still not satisfied. When I first started this webcomic I had low expectations, and I wasn't a fan of it for the first ten chapters or so. Honestly I didn't like the Duke's attitude or how he was portrayed, considering he put so much faith in Ebony who he really knew nothing about. But the webcomic has developed into such a breathtaking tale of self-acceptance and a narrative of freedom from unethical societal structures. It only gets better.

I love how despite how pleasantly romantic this webtoon is, as a readers community we're unable to fully enjoy it because we're all paranoid from the author's previous work. Hogu Hagyeongsu is really twisted and overall leaves a bad taste in ur mouth. whatever you do, dont read it the main character goes through so much and the ending is so sad. im not really spoiling it bc it basically tells you at the beginning but the MC was gangbanged by his boyfriends friends bc the bf told them to. that isnt even the worst part tbh the bf is such a bad person and they even get an innocent person involved

The Hogu one is literally the worst BL I've ever encountered. I tried to do it. I really did but, I'm not kidding, I started getting headaches every time I read a new chapter and I cried more than once.

When it looks like the only good guy in the story is gonna rescue him, he starts abusing him too! That's where I peaced tf out. I couldn't take it anymore. It's like nothing but rape and torture on this poor character. It was mentally draining for me.
I was suprised when I cautiously checked this out and it was actually very sweet so I'm glad I did. I don't worry about it taking a bad turn, though.

Same I just felt irritated by it I was just constantly pissed while I was reading it like my forehead was just squeezed together the whole time looking like I am about to murder someone let's just pray this stays fluffy and cuddly (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

The side story of the doctor gave us enough angst, lets hope it stays that way.
"It was in the past"---guys, dead people don't come back to life just because someone has changed. Yes, the emperor has changed ever since he has been able to sleep again. He's more temperate and working on himself (even if it's only so Lillian will like him more).
However, it's only been a few months since he's stopped killing people every time they made even a single, small mistake. Even if there was a reason (his curse) that doesn't mean people's lives weren't irreparably destroyed in the process. He's still responsible for all the deaths he's caused. Go back to the earliest chapters when everyone in the court were terrified because they knew they could lose their life at any moment if the emperor didn't like what they said. It's not like he was only executing criminals.
I'm not saying you have to hate him whatsoever. But your reasons for hating on the girl are shallow. Some of y'all are calling her a bitch and saying stuff like "how dare she say that to the literal emperor/empress, it's treason" and yes, it is treasonous and out of line.
However, consider how much she has already lost to not care about her own life like that. How do you think she feels, seeing the emperor who killed her older brother (and countless others) suddenly get a happy ending like nothing ever happened? And everyone is just cheering them on like your family's loss never mattered.
