Guys not to be the devil advocate because what he did was the worst thing he could do, but I think he is mad because
1. That confirms that professor is interested in him in sexual way
2. Professor go out of his way to buy them so he does have an ulterior motive (same as him and he understands how fuck up it is)
3. He wanted to stop giving him those after seeing the side effects but since professor still was giving them to him, the side effects worsen

I don't understand why people in comment section feel the need to demonize one character and making the other a saint. There wouldn't be a story if everyone was a good agreeable vanilla characters going for a sainthood.
I like this story and the characters in it, because their actions make sense, when we get a sad backstory of shitty character the purpose of it is to explain how they become who are they now.
Mc behavior make sense, because of the trauma he experienced as a kid, he isn't a bastard just because we need a one dimensional toxic person in the story to check out the boxes. In so many popular IP characters behave irrationally, just because the plot needs to go on, even when their actions and feelings don't make sense.
Nanjo character and his decisions also make sense, by the standards of what we saw so far, same goes for the twink.
We can be sad for sad movements and happy for cheerful ones, being sad and sorry for the trauma mc experienced doesn't automatically make people agree or dismiss the trauma he inflicted on Nanjo.
