Made sense. It made sense for them not to end up living the perfect life after that. I expected it to end up in a tragedy tbh. With all the dark stuff going on (like yohan is crazy) I was surprised they got a happy ending.
And finn. Finn is so cute. So smart too. It was cute the yohan was worried about both Finn and Jess when they were uh dying.
Honestly, I wish Jess became human. Both yohan and Jess are not vampire material. They definitely would thrive a humans. The alternate ending could be the Yohan discovers a cure, Jess somehow becomes human, and finn and them live in that house with yohan working as a doctor and Jess I dunno goes to school to get a degree and finn gets more fishies.
I digged the plot so much I just skipped the sex scenes. I don’t care how many times I go back, I am not getting horny running away from zombies and blood everywhere.
Ig this story was more of the escaping rather than the why. Cuz like, we still don’t know so much of the virus and how it spread (like why did ml think he was responsible?) and the governments actions relating to it.
Most importantly WHY IS HE GOING BACK IN TIME AND WHY IS HYUN RELEVANT TO IT? But I don’t see it as a plot hole, more that it doesn’t matter to the story it’s telling.
Also, they were eating too much. Like ration out the food, don’t eat it all so fast? And the last hideout system honestly wasn’t bad. Each person contributes to keeping the hideout going. If it was run by a person who wasn’t a bitch it would have been successful.
But damn. No wonder he went psycho and paranoid. Specially when he made it that far. If I went back after all that, bro i dunno what I would have done?

Hyun is relevant to it because he has antibodies (aka he's immune to the zombie virus!! So he can help create the vaccine to the virus :)
I agree we don't know much about the virus, but I think that's fine because of the characteristics of our characters. Hohyun does not go to the Lab, and his major isn't even Biology (considering it happened in the Bio Lab). I remember ML's major isn't that either, something with ceramic(I might be wrong). Hence, there's no information about the virus. However, it did say in the last chapter that it was an accident that happened during disposal and spread in large quantities.
ML thought he was responsible for it because the one who messed with the virus was him, but he wasn't sure until he saw the building.
Well, the government.. is the government. You know how it is. People probably asked/reported for help, but they instead quarantine the infected along with the survivors.
ML kept returning to the past because in the first round, ML was saved by Hohyun. But before even that, ML was already attracted to him. So, when Hohyun sacrificed himself to save others, ML went to check up on him. Hohyun was grateful to him for coming back not leave him alone. Before Hohyun died in the first run, he wished for someone to remember him. So.. Ta-da!! ML is the chosen one!
As Alex said, Hohyun is relevant because he have the specific antibodies of the virus. IF YOU READ PROPERLY.. the story explained most of it. Think of it as a game where you need to clear a level with a specific key to a lock, but before you could bring that key to a lock, you died. And when you die.. the game reset. The key here represents Hohyun's antibody. Without him, the virus would've been left there forever.
Well that’s still surface level. Ig I’m comparing it to the 11th school trip which explain the virus and life repeating thing waaaaay more and I read it not long before I started this one.
I mean the explanation was very quick and that’s fine. The story is more about the escape and the characters experience and it doesn’t make it weaker.
But if I’m gonna be an annoying nitpicking bitch, what caused the game element? Why does hohyun having antibodies make the world choose ml to repeat. Was it cuz hohyun wished to be remembered and ml showed up? Or was it cuz ml accidentally release the virus. And did he even release it cuz it wasn’t that clear.
Exactly how did ml interfere with the virus, it was kinda vague. Did the government order everyone who came out to be killed out of wanting to cover the outbreak up or cuz they actually believed everyone was infected.

Yes you're completely right, this story is more about escaping rather than exploring the virus. But I want to clarify that ML did not release it, it's more that the virus spread through mutation while disposing. ML did not interfere with the virus AT ALL. It was an unreliable narrator. He thought he was the cause of it by messing up the equipment laboratory but the ending implied that the virus was an accident from disposal. As for your other questions, we can only guess and fill in the gaps ourselves.
Also, the 11th school trip? I put it in my list, but didn't think it'd be interesting enough to read.. I'll give it a shot later!
It’s not finished yet so I read the novel but I really liked it. It’s not only escaping, there’s a whole reason for it all that is slowly uncovered. I highly recommend it

I’m guessing that something was used on him cuz he resisted the pheromones before (which the rest were surprised by) and his mom did not hesitate to do underhanded stuff like drug her son and the girl also admitted the mom put her up to it.
I mean magic exists, this is an omegaverse where pheromones can have extreme effect to the point someone can’t think, and him doing a 360 like that is extremely ooc. From his characterization so far that reaction to someone’s pheromones seems like he was drugged, maybe the mom gave the girl something to make her pheromones affect his mind?
But ya, I don’t believe he would have done that. And if I’m wrong, this will be my headcanon and I’ll ignore the other one.

Guess I’m in the minority. I’m digging this story. I’m more into the plot rather than the romance, and I think it’s fair.
The crown prince would be the male lead in another story but, the ml knows his place and doesn’t interfere with Bianca’s shine. Def not the perfect romance between them, but I think he’s a good anchor for Bianca.
And Maria…I will delegate how I feel to Bianca. I mean, Maria was basically surrounded with the warmth she wished for and her mom getting better. She probably didn’t even wanna consider that warmth to be the reason her mom died. And she was told it was cakes that killed her mom and was given a forged autopsy report. As well as people she trusted whispering to her that Bianca was the murderer. Lowkey, her catching the tea comment was interesting since even I didn’t catch it.
I like these flawed characters, and i enjoyed the mystery.
The best relationship? No. But I’m here to be entertained

And the duke is such a good partner for her. He can handle the eccentric part of her, as well as rely on her. They are able to trust each other even when stuff kinda gets between them.
I like it. I like the mystery of wtf is going on w the prince, what happened to the mom, and the different relationships going on.
I enjoyed how they showed her pregnancy and didn’t just stick it on to the end. It was cool.
